But the $20 guest fee that I foolishly didn't inquire about makes it a no-go if I ever do return to a hotel again in this city.
Given the above information I will plan ahead and try to book with Innperu next time for any under 1 week stays.

Hi Lima Busy.
I guess I had a little too much Pisco Sour that night, JAJAJAJA.
The view today from here was so awesome I invited one of my regulars over for some nude sunbathing on my terrace, it's great because no one can see anything going on including a BBBJ, CIM and a wicked sunburn were the sun don't usually shine!
I would love to check out your Penthouse sometime when it is not rented. Sounds like a fantastic place.

Posts: 1233I thought it was on the high side myself, considering you could have My Penthouse to yourself for about the same price! I am booked up for Jan and early Feb, I suggest you guys make your reservations early as the summer is the best time to be on the roof terrace and you are only steps from the beach!

Posts: 59Correction on Price of my extra Room for Rent
Sorry guys but I just realized that I made a typo error regarding the price of my extra room, the correct price is $50 per day not $100 with a minimum stay of 3 days not 1 week. Also, my maid will do your laundry as well.
Please PM me for any additional info you may need.

I tend to agree with David_33 about getting an apartment vs a hotel. Since I've been to Lima twice (and about to get there for a third time) , and every time has been less than a week, there are limited apartment options. However, I had very good luck with the InnPeru website (innperu dot com) and the folks running the business are very nice as well. Their minimum booking is 4 days rather than a week, and you pay up front via paypal. The apartments range from $35 per day to $75 per day. I booked the cheaper places (about $40 per day) , and they are not high end, but they are functional and located fairly well within Miraflores (many of them are in a building on Alcanfores. 2 blocks from Alfredo Benevides). My walk to Park Kennedy from Alcanfores was about 5 minutes. I also stayed on Larco across from Bembos. Similar walking time. This time, their apartments seemed to all be booked, but I emailed them and they were able to rustle up a place for me from the 15th to the 20th for $37. 50 per night. Recommend.

Posts: 3074A couple of guys from ISG have stayed at the María Angola and not had any issues. I'm not sure about being able to bring in two girls, once again an apt. Is better than any hotel IMHO. María Angola has been around for a long time, and the guy in charge is certainly not a saint, so you're not going to run into any "written in stone" problematic situations, like at other places. A 10 or 20 sol tip, goes a long way.

I was last there in Dec 2009 and the prices were a bit higher than some of the other monger hotels discussed but you used to be able to negotiate the price. And sometimes you get lucky, I got the Presdential suite for 4 days at $120, it has a proper sauna. 4 or 6 person jacuzzi and a separate large bathroom.
Sure it's reviews aren't the best but most of them were written by Marriott Hotels types, for a monger I think its pretty decent.
As for apartmentsclubperu I strongly recommend them, I've had some very nice apartments from them. The service was good & friendly. And the owner comes down and meets you himself at the apartment and introduces you to the apartment owners a very nice touch especially if your spanish isn't the best.

Posts: 59Room Available in my Apartment in Miraflores
I have decided to rent 1 bedroom with 2 double beds available in my 11th floor 3 bedroom apartment located on the Malecon (overlooking the Ocean) in one of the safest parts of Miraflores. Apartment has spectacular 180 * view of the ocean. Apartment is 5 min from Kennedyt Park, Larcomar and walking distance to 5 of the best restaurants in Lima. You can bike, run or walk on the Malecon from here for miles. Also, skating platform located in park right in front of my building.
No problem inviting guests (from 1:00PM and after) as long as I am aware they are coming. Also, I have several wonderful contacts I can put you in touch with for some fun. I have a roommate who has the 2nd bedroom but he is cool (he is not a member of ISG so a certain amount of discretion will be greatly appreciated). Breakfast only is included, but you are welcome to cook your own food for lunch or dinner. Please remember that I live in a luxury family residential building with a 24 hr doorman, so no outlandish public behavior outside my apartment will be tolerated (I respect my neighbors).
This is the 1st time I am offering this room, thought I would give it a try since so many of the members are worried about a nice safe place to stay at the last minute.
Availabilty starts Jan 11th. When you pm me please also provide a regular email so I can send you photos wihout sizing issues.
This is for Senior ISG Members only, room rate is USD$100 / night (CASH ONLY, MINIMUM 1 WEEK STAY PAYABLE UP FRONT) with breakfast included. PM me for additional details & Photos. Therefore, you will need to pay Jackson his membership fee in order to be able to PM me.
Hope to see you fellow mongers soon.
PS. I am fluent in Spanish and will gladly help in any translations or communication with the ladies you decide to invite.

An update now that my stay is complete:
I definitely had the sense that I was pushing their limits with my regular visitors (6 over 72 hours). The front desk guy apparently made an off comment to my last guest that upset her a bit, which was very disappointing and totally inappropriate. So if you are going to have a lot of traffic, I would NOT recommend this place as it's pretty small (probably 80 rooms) and they pay too much attention at the front desk. They were strict on checking IDs but were a little flexible a couple of times as long as the girl could provide them sufficient contact information to satisfy them. I cancelled one youngish looking visitor who was 18 but without I'd as it didn't seem practical under the circumstances. I would not try 2 girls at once here. I think this place is good. But only for very short stays or if you only plan on bringing someone in occasionally.
- Room cleaning / new sheets every day. Given I was doing two a days, I sometimes found the cleaning cart and exchanged towels with them directly.
- Hot water was fine and water flow was pretty good. Bathroom overall was a big plus vs. Suites Apart.
- My room was top floor interior so no street noise. If you have a room facing Larco, there could be a little noise.
- One other major miss is no in-room safe. They have a central safe with interior boxes that I used for my documents. I didn't have a laptop with me, which would not have fit. They do have 3 internet computers available for free.
- Breakfast was included in my rate and pretty good.
- I paid for a double room but their general set up seems to be a combo room with a double in front, then the bathroom / closet, and a twin room behind. I used the twin room for my clothes. They seem to control # of guests up front.
- My room did not have a fridge and had to go around the corner to metro to buy ice. They do offer larger suites that I believe have a small fridge.
Hope this helps.
