As you may know, the cost from the airport to Miraflores is 50/ soles. This is a new, albeit modest, increase from the prior rate. You could easily find a safe taxi from your hotel to the airport for less than 67 soles.

Green Taxi has a standard rate of s50.00 to Miraflores from airport. I took the Yellow taxi booked by the apartment owner from Miraflores to Airport for s40.00 each time. Both are good taxi services. Clean cars.

Sure, I understand as I have been in similar situations before. I only referenced it so readers know the normal cost to the airport from MF. It is also important to note that not all taxis have the right licensing to enter the airport for drop-offs. One time, I was offered a low fare but at the end of trip, the driver wanted to drop me off outside the airport where I would have to carry my luggage from the street to the airport.

I'm sure I could, if I had more time to look in to that. But I didn't need to go out looking for a ride, and the driver had a pretty nice car, and wore a suit. Not that I care about him wearing a suit. I still try to stay frugal at times, but saving 17 Soles, which I didn't know I could, doesn't dent my pocket book. It was also my first time in Peru also, and I also, at the last minute made the trip to Machu Picchu. So I was busy making sure that went OK.

When I go called and he appointment changed I had a time window for a vacation, so I planned most if a 6 week, 6 country vacation in just one day and I hopped on a plane and got started. I didn't spend my precious time trying to save 17 Soles. Now that I do know I can save 17 Soles, I'll remember to plan ahead for it.

I at the Del Pilar again for one night, but I didn't bring a girl to my room until about 10:20 AM the next morning. I met with a girl I was with before at a nearby Starbucks, had a snack and a coffee with her and went straight to the hotel and the guy hat was at the front desk didn't stop us or anything. My girl was actually preparing to give the guy her ID card, but he just looked at us like don't bother. A guest during the day wearing decent clothes and both of us carrying Starbucks makes things seem more normal, but I talked to the guy a few times before, so he kind of knew me. Before I met left to meet the girl I talked to the front desk guy to confirm my taxi to the airport which is 67 Soles. I used them to book me a ride to/from the airport 3 times, it's 67 Soles, you can pay US dollars if you want.

The room isn't near as nice as the Doubletree, but a little cheaper and closer to places like Pizza Alley, Tequila Rocks, Parque Kennedy, etc. The rooms are actually a little too basic, but it had good consistent hot water, which the Doubletree didn't. I suggest trying to get on the 6th floor, they have a fairly large balcony, and he room had a portable heater. When I stayed he second time I was put on he 7th floor and it doesn't have a balcony, I could only look down and see the balconies on the 6th floor, the other lower floors might have a balcony also, but the 7th floor doesn't, and the 7th floor is right below their 24 hour restaurant, which seems very slow, but I did here noises from above once in awhile. The internet at both hotels where slow, I think it's a Peru thing. Using the internet while in the Doubletree lobby seemed to be twce as fast. The internet in these places makes it just about too slow to watch Youtube videos, unless you try watching in 360 P, and it still pauses sometimes.

I almost stayed at a hotel near the airport to be closer to the airport and a couple of the popular sex scene clubs, but I didn't. I'm glad I didn't because the closer you get to the airport, the more ghetto things get. Miraflores is a safe and nice area to be in. People in Peru are really friendly compared to a lot of places I have been to. No need to be suspicious about why is someone being so friendly to me.

I stayed in Lima one more day than expected, and I ended up changing my hotel to Del Pilar Miraflores which is one block away from Kennedy Park. I brought a Peruvian girl I met at Tequila Rocks and when I went in the hotel I kind of felt like I did the walk of shame, it had a small lobby with 1 doorman, 1 security guy, and one man and one woman behind the desk. The woman at the desk said she needs to keep the girls I'd card. She stayed from about 230 AM TO 630 AM, and when I checked out the next day I had no extra charges. I just seen there hotel policy when using booking-com, it says they charge $35 for extra adults, but I don't think they will charge. They didn't charge me. I'll be staying at the Del Pilar for another night soon, and I'll probably bring in a local girl I had met last week. So I'll see if there is a charge next time.

We are travelling around in other cities (Cusco and Arequipa) and I have seen that I can also find the Sonesta Hotels in these towns. Will they all be GF hotels? Thanks again.

We are flying end of September to Peru. I have booked all the hotels for our trip. About the problem if the hotels are gf friendly we have just phoned the hotels previously and ask them if we book a double room (2 persons) we can take girls to the room. Wellmost of them gave as a strait anwser. Mostly yes but only one girl, a few have no problem with different girls.

Aftre our trip I will tell you if the hotels kept there promises.

Another ISG member just stayed there and got socked $60 extra each time he had a visitor. I'm not sure if he booked for two, or what the situation was. However two other GF hotels which are in the same price range would be the Sonesta on Alcanfores or the Doubletree on Independencia. If you have deeper pockets the J. W. Marriott is 100% GF as well.
