Hi Guys.

Kdogg recommended in one of his post the Cali Plaza hotel.

As I had to go there I decided to try it.

The hotel is not bad and is at walking distances from the brothels of the Ave 2 even if it is not recommended to walk there at night.

Main problem is that the hotel is located at the edge of the zona rosa, just in front of a Bar with loud music till 1:30 am.

I asked the doorman if there was a problem to bring a girl to the room and he said no.

The simple rooms downstairs are just unacceptable to me because they have no outside windows.

So I choose an apartment at the third floor : # 303

They have all what someone may need including AC, TV, Full kitchen, Free Wireless Internet.

They have an Internet site easy to find.

They will charge me 180K for a night.

I have a similar fee at the Intercontinental (business agreement), but of course, rooms are smaller and there is a fee to get a girl in the room.

allow me to answer my own question. the hotel cali real is located at Carrera 4 16-29. It is 28,000 a night, no problems with chicas entering, cheap restaraunt downstairs, good security, small rooms with cable. There is no air conditioning, but for some reason the room isn´t hot. i have stayed here twice and have never had a problem.

Obviously, luxury isn't too important to me and I don't care if the area isn't the safest.

I had a very hard time finding a good map of Cali after I arrived and you really need one because there are a lot of curvy streets and highway overpasses and dead end streets that act as barriers. This one is hard to figure out at first but once you figure out how to put the different pieces of the puzzle together it is really a great help!

I am not sure where this place is located at in EL Jardin. However El Jardin is one of the nicer neighborhoods in Cali. First couple of times I stayed in Cali was in EL Jardin neighborhood with some family. Just keep in mind this is in the south side of town. Most of the reports are focused in the North ( Cale Sexta). However the south side has its own flavor. They have many casas day and night so enjoy. There is even a casa de cerveza in the south side that is really rockin on Sundays.

I have some friends who have had lots of problems with the owner of the Calimansion. I can not discuss it now but trust me, those guys are bad news.
