Posts: 162Self protection in the LOS
Last year 2009 there were 355 murders and homicides on Phuket alone, not counting any flaky "suicides". I've been here for 2 months only and my life has bee threatened twice already (by 1 farang and 1Thai). Last time I had a big scary diving knife and a crossbow for protection. Unfortunately I lost those in a shipwreck and now need to replace them The weapons were legally bought from a hunting / fishing / diving supply store on the Patong Beach Road (Phuket) that does not exist any more. Anybody know where they might have moved to or another source? Or anybody know any mail order source in Thailand that ships this kind of stuff, please PM me.

Hi Gang,
First of all, thanks to everyone for all the info on Phuket and BKK. I'll be in Phuket April 15th for 8 days and then finnish off in BKK for 3 or 4 days. More than happy to hook up and toss back some cold ones at the Bar in PK or BKK. This is my first time to Asia. Been to Mexico, Vancouver, Spain and Amsterdam and of course the U.S. All is book except BKK. Is there any GF friendly Mid to High hotels near Nana Plaza. Let me know, Thanks!
Happy Mongering

Hi Guys,
I'm planning a trip to Pattaya in may, from what I've heard girls usually go back home during low season. Just wondering your thoughts on whether there won't be much quality in May. I'm not too fussed about weather.
Qaulity = Girls in their early 20s 7/10 looks etc.
Much appreciate it fellas.

Hi;
There is so much information to absorb here so I'm hoping I can get pointed in the right direction for my trip.
I'm planning to go to Thailand early March 1 to about March 14 and was planning an entire trip over there for two weeks. There seems to be lot of places to go visit. Is there a primier for planning such a trip?
Here are some of my general questions.
1. Airfare seems to be about $1,200 so do I just fly in to Bangkok?
2. Do I just stay in Bangkok and if other places how many days would I need?
3. Where do I hotels which are provider friendly?
4. I plan to take a gal out all night just for the heck of it. Any places for recommendations?
5. Where can I pick up gals? I heard it not a good thing since I don't know if they have any diseases.
Any suggestions or anything to point me in the right direction would be appreciated..

Posts: 1584welll welshboy, besides the usual RTFF, IF you (likely) cannot speak any Thai, stay in one of the "big" areas - Bangkok (lots of places there), Pattaya (world's largest open air ho'-house), Phuket if you like beaches, maybe Chiang Mai. At least learn a few Thai words - how to count (particularly), hello, how much, where is the toilet... etc

Posts: 11Anyone want to meet up?
I'm heading to BKK Jan 12-18 and staying at S Sukhumvit Suites (right outside Soi Cowboy it looks like) and was wondering if anyone wants to lend their expertise by having a few drinks with me and a buddy of mine?
I'm trying to do the whole sightseeing thing too, so I would also like to know the best places to eat and what sites to see in Bangkok, Thailand. I've been researching here for a while now, but you never know unless you experienced the real thing.

I am planning a weeks holiday towards the end of Jan or the beginning of feb and looking at Thailand. There are many posts on this site regarding various places, but I can not decide.
What I am planning is a direct flight from London, and can not decide where to go, I guess htere are sme places better than others, and some safer too.
Would it be best not to book accommodation and try a walk in at a recommended hotel?
I will be looking to mooch around during the day, may be a little mongering, but really looking for LT during the evening (good value of course)
Any suggestions would be greatly welcome.
Thanks

Posts: 4Wan King, nice to hear that you're heading over there! I'm a long time lurker in the partytreff forum, great to see you posting here as well.
I'll be heading to Pattaya for the first time on Jan 31st. It's a shame we won't be there at the same time, would love to meet up for a beer and to hear some of your stories firsthand.
Anyway have a great trip! I'll be checking the Pattaya thread to see what you have to say.
