I was just chatting with a nice little old lady at the check line at my local grocery store. The conversation came up and she said she would not take the vaccine because she thought it might be dangerous to her. I had nothing to say back to her. It's her choice. She wants to wear a mask for the rest of her life and live in fear so be it.

BTW, none of this belongs in general reports forum, but some bm's can't control their loathing. There is a lot of that particular mental disorder going around in the USA at the moment. It is more prevalent than the pandemic.

The current president of the United States announced that the explosions in Beirut were "an ATTACK!" and all other world leaders immediately reacted to his assessment with a collective shrug, eye roll and head shake. I have no idea what a nice old lady in the grocery store felt about it. But Trump's "fake news" credibility problem is not Biden's fault.

And with regard to the reason citizens from the USA will likely have more problems than most being welcome to reenter Thailand to monger again, a topic that must belong in a thread somewhere here, Thailand as well as every other country has plenty of reason to feel resentment about Trump's incomparable contribution to defunding and dismantling the Pandemic Prevention and Response teams two years ago whose job it was to monitor these kind of outbreaks and do whatever necessary to keep them in their region of origin and from spreading all over the world while later helping China spread lies about the risk of human-to-human infection in the critical early stages well after he had been briefed more than once by his intel agencies that China was actually lying about it. Let's talk about COVID-19 When the death rate gets to that of Pneumonia which is about an annual death rate of 3 million with 30% being healthy children, and those numbers have been happening for 300 years.

Covid-19 kills 99% 65 or older who are in poor health or have poor immune systems. We should definitely do something to protect the elderly sick people from dying from COVID-19 so they can live a few more days and then die from the other 1000 things that can easily kill an elderly person with poor health.

Also that can't be a good thing for the economy of a country if many of the unhealthy elderly people die because all of their money will just go to their families and they will just waste it on shopping, whoring and booze. Actually, that would be good for the economy. New slogan, "no masks, it's good for the economy!

But seriously 700,000 dead in almost 9 months is influenza like numbers, about 77 million away from the 1% you need to be considered a global pandemic like the Spanish flu that killed 20 million when the population was 1. 5 Billion. According to the numbers provided by the governments Covid-19 should not be considered much more dangerous than the flu. When the numbers go above 3 million in 12 months I will wear a mask. I will even get a vaccine if they go above 78 million. Numbers are facts, just like the sky is blue. If the news said the sky was green, would you believe it or would you go take a look? So, why don't people look and compare the actual numbers of COVID-19?

Of course the flu season numbers actually make sense, COVID-19 numbers seem to only be in states and countries where the government wants to steal money from the people, but that must just be a coincidence. 24 states out 50 have had more than 1,000 deaths in the US, 45 countries out of 218 have had more than 1000 deaths in the last 9 months. Is that a global pandemic?

A strong immune system beats any vaccine, that is a fact. Masks only make you think you are safe and after 1 hour of constant use they actually start to lower your immune system because of all the hot CO2 you are rebreathing, also a fact.

Mongers are banging New hot girls all the time so most of us have herd immunity to almost everything out there!

What happens each year is that virologists have to predict which strains are going to be most likely to spread around the world and create a compound vaccince against the top 6 or so strains. So if a different version of Influenza spreads then the vaccine will not be too helpful. It also takes a lot of time to manufacture a vaccine, package and distribute it so it needs to be decided 6 months early. Finally, most people don't get vaccinated, it's usually those who feel at risk and not everyone so flu spreads and then attacks the vulnerable. These are the reasons that 250,000 to 650,000 people die from flu each year.

The chief scientist of WHO just said:

If some of the vaccines in human clinical trials are effective, they should be available sometime next year.

Very optimistically, the timeline for the first doses would be the first half of 2021.

It is important to note that even with a successful vaccine, there will be a limited number of doses initially. We will not have eight or ten billion doses available to be able to vaccinate the whole world. We might have a few hundred million doses, meaning we would have to prioritize some sections of the population - such as front-line workers, health workers, social care workers and others who are at very high risk.

Thereafter, manufacturing can be scaled up, and more vaccine candidates tested. And hopefully, by 2022, we will be in a position to have many more vaccines available.

3. Switzerland
4. Tokyo / Osaka.
5. Bangkok / Pattaya.

Mine would be the same usual suspects as always: 1. Bangkok / Pattaya, 2. Jakarta, 3. Sao Paulo, 4. Macau, 5. Manila. But if money were absolutely no object and I could hire a qualified local interpreter / facilitator who knew what he was doing and could guarantee my access into all the clubs and high class bordellos, then Tokyo / Osaka would jump to the head of my list followed by Moscow and Kiev maybe. I do like the look of various Russian and Ukrainian sex models I see on the internet. 555.

But generally I am happy with my top 5 and look forward to being there as soon as possible. It is interesting to note that of my top 5 only BKK and Pattaya are up and running if only partially so. The rest of the destinations are still in shut down mode although I am sure you can find girls on the social media there. The ASQ charge includes testing. If you test positive you will be hospitalised but of course you have to be in possession of USD 100,000 of insurance to cover this.

Update on the Elite Visa. The press have been saying it is allowed entry but the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand announcement on 3 August (https://www.caat.or.th/th/archives/52448) does not include it. The only changes seem to be foreigners with Certificates of Residence, Work Permit holders can now bring family in and a tweak to the terms to allow migrant labour from neighbouring countries in.

If anyone is considering the Elite Visa, be very careful by checking with the Embassy or Consulate that you'll be able to get a certificate of entry before you proceed. Thai Elite may be rather more interested in hitting sales targets than giving realistic guidance. THB 500 k to 2 million is quite a lot to be out of pocket if you cannot use the thing.
