Any quarantine would not be self imposed. The rest of the world would cut off Thailand. The Thai government is playing a very risky game in hoping that there will be no outbreak, or that like China, it would be able to hide it from the rest of the world. Considering the fact that most nations do not trust the PRC to tell the truth about the current situation, Thailand would not be prepared nor is it capable to take the drastic actions that China is now implementing on its citizens.

As an example of the PRC not telling the truth, Hubei area has a significant smog problem over Wuhan city. The CO2 emissions normally are from car exhaust in typical times. However, there are no vehicles running in the Hubei region. The CO2 "smog" appears to be coming from the crematoriums which are supposedly running 24/7 and the workers complaining of not being able to go home. The deaths of 1,000 people would not be creating such a situation. Only if the deaths were in the 10,000's would such a drastic situation be occurring. That is why no one really trusts the China government. For Thailand to emulate that government model would be a big mistake.

In the winter an inversion layer develops. So there is your "smog. " 10,000 deaths and the cremation of those bodies? Sorry, even the Chinese gov would not be able to keep that under wraps. Please don't fabricate or spread rumors that cause unnecessary alarm.

Just looked at the coronavirus stats by country. I think it's safe for all you guys to go to Thailand. Look at all the Indian men that go to Pattaya and lesser so to Bangkok and out of all of them India only has 3 cases of coronavirus in a country of 1.4 billion people, likely none stemming from a visit to Thailand either. So keep going to Thailand guys and write those field reports. Totally safe.

Maybe the Indian men can use their low risk of coronavirus to convince previously unwilling Thai girls to go with them. Just tell the Thai girls India has far far fewer CV cases per capita than Japan, Korea, USA, Germany, Australia, Britain, etc.

The there were two recent cases of the virus in the UK this week. The first was the one that is all over the news because he got it in Singapore, transmitted to 5 people in France and a several others in the UK. Infected total from one guy, 11 new patients. What is disturbing is that the second UK virus carrier was a Brit in prison in Thailand and was transferred to the UK to serve his sentence in a UK prison. That guy exposed other prisoners and prison guards to the virus. What is disturbing is, "How did a prisoner in Thailand get the virus? No one in the Thai government responded to that question from the UK health authorities.

To quarantine, provide food, test all, transport to special isolation, get cutting edge medical care, dispose of bodies if someone dies, not to mention the scare caused to locals where the ship docks. These are mammoth undertaking nobody wants and very few countries are equipped to deal with.

Last Friday, with my cousin in town the bunch of us decided to make a visit to Kinnarree in Pattaya. Now as you know I'm Chinese of course made in America while sitting and checking out the scene a girl went up to my cousin they talked a bit then she walks back to the group of girls started talking thereafter no one girl came over to us. One girl though nice personality, overweight bucktooth did come over (desperate?) to my cousin and started to rub his dick my cousin must have needed to clean his pipes bad so he took her.

While waiting one girl recognized my brother came over to talk thereafter went over to the girls and had a discussion she came back later and told my brother the first girl told the group we were Chinese from Wuhan! We didn't speak Cantonese or Mandarin only English! when they realize the mistake it was too late especially for the first girl.

People don't realize as you noted it is a game and it doesn't take much to gain an advantage.

My Opinion:

I am guardedly optimistic and I am still planning on going to LOS unless the Bat Virus gets out of control in Japan & Thailand in which case I am sure my flight will be cancelled. My flight is scheduled for late April. I have no contingency back up plan although I could very easily change my travel plans with a couple of hours notice and hit Sao Paulo, Brazil instead. It has been over 10 years since I was last in Brazil. I don't like the culture as much as SE Asia, but the girls are amazing. Maybe it is time for a change. Ha Ha.

On the plus side of going to Thailand in the wake of this virus: I expect the plane will be half full, the girls to be at their most welcoming, and I have no problem with being quarantined in BKK or Pattaya should something happen after I arrive.

A generous assumption is that there is some dark humor in the use of the phrase 'Totally safe".

3 in 1. 4 billion is misleading and unhelpful in this context.

3 in x, where x=number of Indians who went to Wuhan might be more meaningful; 1. 4 billion did not have potential contact with potential carriers by visiting China / any other country at risk.

The 3 cases in India resulted from mainly students returning to Kerala (state in South India) from Wuhan. BTW FWIW there is a Homeopathic preventive regime for the Coronavirus circulating from renowned sources for those you may want to give alternate meds a shot. Just a couple of drops of "Arsenic album 30" (or maybe the globules form may work too taken directly) dissolved in water on an empty stomach for 3 days. No other intake till 30 mins later.
