For Europeans, however, it makes much more sense because Middle East is somewhat on the way from Europe to East / SE Asia therefore they usually offer very competitive fares (usually cheaper than direct flights with Thai, Singapore, BA and other airlines). Here in Europe we are spoiled by choice of carriers and destinations (and sometimes prices).
