Interested in your approach. I am going for a REAL CONFERENCE in March 2023 at BKK. I want to use my I phone 13 for reaching out to escorts / freelancers and sideline girls. I am there for 5 days. Do I need a another phone for 5 days OR can I put a second SIM in I-Phone 13?. Thanks.

Your iPhone 13 has one eSIM and one slot for a Physical SIM. If your current line isn't on your eSIM have it switched by your provider before you go then once you arrive in Thailand you can buy a local SIM for the physical slot and have both lines active at once, switching out the physical SIM when in different countries, etc.

I always use a second local SIM when I'm in Thailand. No problem at all. I have an Android phone, but I don't think that makes any difference.

Never used Thai Friendly but I know others on here have. A couple of weeks ago I was sitting in a bar in Hua Hin and was talking to a lady who uses Thai Friendly. It was hilarious as she showed me on her phone some of the profiles guys put up, and then told stories of some of the losers she has had dealings with. She is not a freelancer but is looking for a sugar daddy.

There is already a high level of thought gone in to this judging from the above. If you google how to fake / spoof your GPS location you will find various apps that can help trick your phone. I have used some to change my location when using skout / Tinder. I'd do some research download one or two and try a few dummy runs before you leave home. When abroad I'd leave my 'Normal' phone in the safe in the hotel with spoof GPS and buy a cheap burner and sim for all local comms.

Also don't forget to use android / google settings to turn off location access for absolutely everything (or completely) except the apps you choose.

Just curious, but I have another "conference" coming up next year but now I'm relatively newly wed. (no judgements on this posts please). So here is my question:

Does anyone have experience using a VPN to mask location? I have NordVPN on my phone and I think I could log into a US server, but would it show my location as the city of the server? Does anyone here have experience "going on a business trip" but actually skipping over to Thailand for a week or so? Are you successful at concealing your location or any serious questions?

I already have pictures at a local conference event planned right before my trip that I will use as "cover" for me. I'm just going to pack the same clothes that I have in the pictures I will take. I've done similar before but never overseas.

Does anyone have luck with it? Or is there a high level senior member that hears about guys trying it all the time and always failing?

I have android, my wife has iphone so I don't have to worry about the iphone location sharing stuff. I don't use snapchat or instagram. We mostly use facebook messenger to talk because that's what we used when we were dating, but if she "insists" I use some location so she can just see where I am, I don't want to outright refuse. Just trying to cover all the bases I can.

That is still much better than it was in 2019, right before Covid. The Baht was 33 to the euro back then. Don't know what is was to the dollar, but it was much lower than 37.

The baht dropped below 30 to the dollar just before Covid. That was painful.

That means that a standard Short Time is going to set you back $26.

Yeah 100%. Just end it. I still think its rough that guys get sucked into the thai working girls acting like they care and want to talk to the farang and don't just see them as a mark to get their money. Heads up guys, she doesn't care about you she wants your money and an AC room for the night.

Been checking prices to bkk for last few weeks and prices just keeps slowly going up. Should I just buy tix now? Not likely price coming back down? About 1400 for me ATM.

Best is to check on kiwi.com with flexible DATES. It can save you a lof of money if you fly a day earlier and / or leave a day later / sooner. Flexibility is key these days.

Murphy"s Law #6. If you buy your tickets now the price will drop tomorrow, if you wait the price will continue to increase. My advice would be to buy tickets that are fully refundable and if the ticket price drops you can get a refund and rebuy at the lower price. Second option is buy your ticket and never ever look at the price of tickets again, until you are ready to make your next trip.
