LOL. Most of those are fashion braces man, not real braces. The girl that was doing my nails at the salon that I go to in Manila had some yesterday. I asked her about them and she said they cost 3000 pesos /1,777 baht /58 USD. They are popular in Latin America as well.

That reminds me of years ago when guys in the Dominican Republic thread were talking about the women there being deathly afraid of going into the water. I explained to them that most of those women being Black, have processed or fake hair and going into the water would fuck it up. So it had nothing to do with them being afraid of the pool or ocean, they just did not want their hair ruined. Same as this case is not about having fucked up teeth, but wanting to be in style.

LOL different attitudes in different countries. My youngest has just got braces, bad teeth inherited from her Indo mum, and all the kids here hate them. The one or two girls I have gotten close to in Pattaya who have braces have mentioned about getting them adjusted, and not asked me to pay for them 555 and that has made me believe that all of them have dental problems. You live there so I believe you but shake my head at what is deemed fashionable.

2/ Pattaya is very easy to access with 99% of venues between North Pattaya Road, Soi 16, Beach Road and 3rd Road where as in Bangkok, from my limited experience, you have Soi Cowboy and NPE which are one MRT stop away and is a hassle travelling from one to the other..

Bet ya I can walk from Cowboy to NEP as fast as you can walk from Soi 6 to Beach Road.

Taxis and bikes are cheaper in BKK. And its one BTS stop, not MRT.

The overall difference between Pattaya and Bangkok is that Pattaya is a degenerate sewer that caters to the basest instincts of mankind and nothing else, while Bangkok is one of the most vibrant cities in the world with far more to do than just wallow in your own filth. Plus there are tons more places to have manly fun.

I will answer where I can.

3 a / The websites are shot by professional photographers and plain girls are not included in the shots but also not all girls will want their photos taken so buyer beware.

3 b / and 4/ Never used Smooci as it is not in Pattaya, my choice of destination, but from looking at the website the quality of girls are not much better than TF, keeping in mind the photos are professional shots. I do not know how reliable they are.

The baht has hit a six year high so things are getting dear and many expats are selling up and moving back home as its too pricey now on their pensions.

Relative to AUD and EUR the THB has got back approx. To 1996 exchange levels. That is pre economic crash. We probably thought it would not get back to those levels. So hurts. The USD is relatively better off still getting more Baht than 1996 levels. This is not a comment on converting USD to EUR (still worth more than $1). USD gets over 30 Baht I think. In mid 90's maybe was 23 Baht. So 30 Baht is not bad given recovery from economic crashes.

The price of girls should go down in line with deteriorating exchange rates, right? Ha ha.

Retirees would be quite unwise to reply on post crash rates to last forever.

Why is the THB improving so much? Surely most people think the economy is not good.

Expats moving back home? Many moved to cheaper Cambodia I think.

Looking at sites like Thai Friendly and Thai Cupid, I am curious about the search criteria, and what to look for in selecting ladies that are more inclined to be open to P4P type arrangements.

I tend to look at the age of the lady and the range of ages she is interested in. Ladies that say any age to any age are definitely on my list. Thai Cupid has loselects playful answers, sherts of fields and if the lady says "any" to most things, or playful answers to specific questions, I take that as a good sign.

Any other search strategies for thinning out the scads of ladies on these sites?

I find Thai Cupid to be a waste of time.

Regarding TF,

I activate 1 months premium membership set to expire the day I leave Thailand.

I set my preferred age and weight. I click on favourite for any girl that I would like to hit up using notes if I have her LINE ID etc.

I do not message any girl until I am at least 24 hours away from being in Pattaya.

I put on my profile that I am either not in Pattaya and do not message me or that I am in Pattaya.

If a girl sends me a message I reply but tell her that I am not in Pattaya but if she meets my criteria to send me her LINE ID and I will contact her when I arrive.

If a girl sends me a message and she does not match my preferences I block her. When looking thru profiles I will block any girl that does not appeal to me so she is not constantly appearing.

I ignore their age preferences and if they do not reply I know that I do not meet their criteria.

It is up to you how much time you invest in TF but like anything your return depends on your investment. I usually stay for 8 days and if I plan on meeting 3 girls a day I will try to get 1 TF FL per day.

I've used TF before in Pattaya and from what I understand many of the girls there are freelancers but not all. And Pattaya is different to other cities where it's more used for Thai's to look for farang husbands or boyfriends.

I put in my profile that I am "looking for fun", that's clear enough but not offensive. I will politely message a girl I am interested in that I saw her on TF, am interested in her and ask for her line ID. If her line info is in her profile then it's a sign that she is a freelancer but it might also say not working girl. Then on line, I ask if she is interested in stopping by my hotel for a short time, by then she should be quoting a price. Your first message could also ask plainly. Would you come to my hotel for 1,000 THB?

I can't comment on Tinder or ThaiCupid, I have heard that TF is the way to go in Pattaya.

I don't think that is a good strategy because a lot of people just rush through filing those profiles out, not giving any serious thought to them. Like RL said, just ask them what they are looking for. They will tell you if they are looking for customer. I never do any type of search. I just work with the first pages that come up of people that are on at the particular moment, sending them likes and sometimes messages.

I have not been on Thai Cupid in years, but on Thai Friendly most girls already have it in their profiles that they are P4P. As soon as you say hello to some they will respond with prices. But it really is a mixed bag. I have met plenty of non-pros on those sites as well. Next week, one Thai Friendly chick that graduated from chef school is coming from like 5 hours away to see me in Pattaya on her 2 days off work. Don't forget about trolling Tinder as well.

They will reply honestly and tell you what the are looking for. It works great in Phuket. 90% are looking for a customer.

In Phuket I met up with a chick from Tinder that worked at a massage place. During the day things were slow at her shop so she wanted to meet up with me on Bangla Rd for a few minutes to have a drink. When we finished the drink, she said she would like to see me later on when she got off work. She had me thinking she was a non-pro chick. I agree with Robert Long's reply on this. I would add that in terms of the "Search" function of those two dating sites, you probably want to keep the geographic area of your search as close as possible to the ground zero red light districts. It is a bit uncertain how effective that is because we never know what geographic area many or most of the P4P-leaning girls say they reside on their profile. Maybe they say they are living several hours away by bus in Korat on their profile but in fact they are currently rooming with 2 other girls in a 2,500 baht per month room in Rangsit (about an hour away from lower Sukhumvit by BTS and minivan) or right down nearby Soi 16. I suppose the alternative then would be to expand your search to Any city Anywhere in Thailand, then filter out for reasonable distance from where you are as quickly as possible when you chat.

Anyway, for ThaiFriendly it is pretty easy to choose the best geographic location for your search, imo; the Search choices would be Thailand-Bangkok-Sukhumvit (or, the alternate option, Within 15kms of All Areas of Bangkok).

For ThaiCupid, I choose Within 50 kms (that is the shortest distance you can choose) of the Khlong Toei district in Bangkok. The Khlong Toei district roughly encompasses lower Sukhumvit Road to the Chao Phraya River and from the expressway just past Soi 1 to the BTS On Nut station.

Also, this might seem obvious, but if you are really only interested in focusing on P4P girls, Search for girls only interested in Romance/Dating or similar where possible, not Penpal, Friendship, Marriage, etc. However, a rather high percentage of girls who I wind up in bed with very quickly and often after some concept of financial aid has been mentioned do say they are looking for Friendship on their profiles. Of course, you can also say outright on your profile that you want to meet girls looking for a customer.

BTW, my technique for attracting interest from online dating site girls who aren't quite yet ready to admit to themselves they are open to P4P but, given a bit of time, could get there or to a reasonable facsimile under the right circumstances (haha) would not necessarily be the same as above. But that is a different topic.
