Ride the BTS train from BTS Nana to BTS Phya Thai, the BTS station that intersects with the Airport Link Railway. Then ride the Airport Link Railway to the Lat Krabang station. Don't ride it all the way into Suvarnabhumi Airport. Get off at the Lat Krabang station, one station before the airport station. At this point the train rides have cost you, what, about 65-75 baht total I think. And you have only had to wait for two trains for a total of about 5-10 minutes probably unless you were unlucky enough to get to the platforms just as the previous train was pulling away. At Lat Krabang station there will be dozens of taxis available to take you directly to your Pattaya hotel. Of the three times I have gone this way in the past few months, I was easily able to get a taxi to agree to 1,000 baht twice. One time, during the New Years Day Weekend, I was with a Thai girl, I did not want to wave off more than 3 disagreeable taxis, it was a holiday weekend and so I agreed to pay 1,200 baht that time.
Travel back to BTS Nana from my Pattaya Walking Street hotel is simply the reverse of that route. Again, no more than 2 hours, door to door, from my Pattaya Walking Street hotel to BTS Nana. You will have to make sure your driver understands you do not want to be taken into Suvarnabhumi Airport, that you only want to go to the Airport Link Railway station before the Airport station, at Lat Krabang. Show him the map on your phone. This is where you are likely going to still pay the same amount as if you are going to the airport, unless you are willing to negotiate a bit. It isn't as though not taking you all the way into the airport is a great gas or time saver for the taxi driver. So we're talking about 1,100-1,200 baht usually.
Doing it that way cuts out all the inner city Bangkok traffic because that is the leg of the trip where you are riding the BTS train and the Airport Link Railway. One time last year, before I started traveling to Pattaya this way, I took a taxi from Sukhumvit Soi 4 to Pattaya Walking Street. Swear to god, when I factored in the WAITING time for the taxi to arrive, the circuitous route he had to take through traffic just to get on the expressway and the Bangkok City traffic on the expressway, it took me 3 hours and 45 minutes from the time I first stood on Soi 4 with my carry-on bag until I finally got to my hotel on Walking Street. Going the way I do now, NOTHING slows me down from carrying my bag to BTS Nana and getting the hell out of Bangkok City and to Lat Krabang station on the Airport Link Railway within 45 minutes. After that, it will be a taxi ride for 1 hour to 1 1/4 hour to Walking Street. Unless the taxi driver has no idea how to get to Walking Street and gets lost in Pattaya I suppose. Or if there is a lot of slow traffic on the expressway into Pattaya. In which case, every passenger vehicle will be slowed down and stuck in it.

Posts: 3474Taxi from Nana down to Pattaya options?
Anyone have suggestions for a taxi from Bangkok down to Pattaya? Mr Taxi used to be 1,000 then bumped it to 1,100 and is now asking for 1,300 for a small toyota camry. Anyone have anything cheaper or even a minivan in the range of 2,000?

The only DC I know in this context is D&C (Dilation and Curretage) which is something completely different, as they used to say on Monty Python.

When it comes to STDs and mongering in Thailand, unless you're going with homeless street women, worrying about who might be clean and who might not be is entirely pointless. The only thing you can do is use condoms and lube properly every time, and wash up after the deed. From what I know, DATY or BBBJ are not huge risks for the man, but if that level of risk seems too high for you, it's probably better to abstain from mongering altogether. Only masturbation is 100% safe.
Testing is irrelevant. There is no law compelling sex workers to get tested or to stop working if they have an STD. Even if they get tested, it's strictly for their own benefit, and don't expect they would stop work and forego piles of money just to protect an unknown customer. The bar wouldn't care much to have an employee out of commission either.

Freelancer you will find standing on road are not going to be super clean and I doubt if they recently get tested.
However, if you get girls at agency or gogo, chances of them clean are more (though not 100%) Make sure you're covered and some girls will try to do uncovered sex if you're not coming, just don't, say NO.
Make sure your uncovered dick don't go near her genitals, even if you two are just laying down.

Don't share fluids, like DATY, BBBJ, kissing. Wear condom, and make sure it is always lubed up at all times. Then, and this is the most important, wash your cock with soap straight after the event, making sure that you do not get any vaginal fluids in the eye of your cock.
If you do all this then I can guarantee you will never catch anything.
P.S. , there is a "safe sex in thailand" thread for these types of questions.

Sorry, I can't find a general Q+A thread for Thailand?
I'm thinking of booking my first trip to Bangkok (and first trip to Thailand). I have watched many videos of the various areas and the women are beautiful. But the disease side makes me a little uneasy. I have only every mongered in Nevada and Germany. Obviously, absolutely everything will be covered, so no DATY or BBBJ. Generally, though, how clean do the ladies tend to be? I presume they don't get tested. Do they generally perform a DC at least?
Anything else I can do to protect myself? I'm planning to spend most time at the bigger bars. No streetwalkers.
