I hate to clutter up a board by asking 'rookie' questions. Here's the deal, United airlines allows a free layover (no time limit) before heading onto another destination and then back home. Its an amazing deal since it allows you to check out two hobby destinations on the same free ticket (using airmiles). I'm a diehard German Fkk guy but this flight deal is too good to pass up. I'm pretty well set on Bangkok and Pattaya, I was going to do the Fkk leg first before heading onto Thailand until I ran across some Angels City posts. Im thinking it might be better to fly to Bangkok first and then onto another destination nearby instead of visiting the Fkk club scene. So now my question is how does Angels City and Macau stack up against the scene in Thailand? Quality of the girls, the scene in each destination, the ease of reaching each destination, costs, risks, visa requirements, hotels etc. Basically any comments comparing these three to each other would help my planning. Anyone who doesn't wish to clutter up this thread can send me a PM if that's preferable to them.

I read that Thailand requires your passport to be good for 6 months after your entry date. My passport is set to expire 6 months and 2 weeks before my planned trip, will that be an issue? Should I renew the passport before the trip or just point out the extra 2 weeks if they bring it up?

Correct. The other day I tried to book tickets for me and my dad from Angeles to Bangkok for 2 weeks from now. On the Tiger Air website it said the passport has to be valid for 6 months and my dad's expire in December. So he went to get a new one the day before yesterday. They said he will have it Tuesday. I wouldn't take any chances.

i very rarely go to the gogo bars these days but about 2 months ago i ended up in nana and we somehow ended up on the seldom visited top floor (heading to billboard which as it turns out is a pretty nice bar).

there is (or was now) a bar there called lone star and it was one of the most bizarre things i have seen in bangkok but it seemed to be full of nothing but 14 and 15 year old girls. it was shocking! we commented at that time that this was just so utterly odd and so completely out of place in the modern day. it was like something you would of expected from 30 years ago.

i was in nana yesterday and the place was a buzz with talk of a big police raid on that bar on wednesday and how they took a away a lot of **** girls. that is a good thing as that place was completely out of control. i mention it as it was just so utterly bizarre to see that and we were pretty appalled at the time. i am glad it got closed down.

Just a General question which may be placed best in this part of the forum:

Having 4-6 weeks vacation in October / November and also having a rental car during this time, is it still good to go to Thailand during the rain season?

I'm not looking for beach vacation in an AI Hotel or diving or similar (also not planned to stay 6 weeks in Pattaya)

I just want to drive through parts of the Country without big planning before and picking up nice Thai Girls here and / or there.

But I prefer FlipFlops instead of fisherman's boots. Another Option would be somewhere else in Asis or going to the Caribbean (Cuba, DomRep.)

Thanks for an answer, also knowing that nobody can predict the exact weather during Oct / Nov.

It will be rainy in October and early November, but usually much less than earlier in the summer. It usually doesn't rain all day so you'll have plenty of semi-decent weather to see things.

The big question is whether or not you can speak and read Thai. Traveling outside of the touristy areas, the road signs are mostly in Thai. Very few people speak English or any language other than Thai or Lao (assuming you're traveling through Isaan).

While girls are available just about anywhere it's not like Nana or Cowboy. In smaller towns you'll have to know where to look and you'll have to speak passable Thai. Even then there may be nothing available. It depends on where you decide to stop. All the small town venues will cater to Thai guys and will tend to focus on massage and karaoke.

It may be easier to find a sweetie and take her with you. Not as much variety, but you'll have an interpreter.

Or, you may have better luck doing this in Vietnam where the written language is a bit easier to decipher and more English is spoken.

There is definitely a biological design to explain the attraction for younger girls.
