They let me go and buy a insect repellent 100 ml bottle from the pharmacy. I threw away the insect repellent into the washroom sink and replaced it with the hair growth lotion. I was then let through. A pointless procedure but at least they didn't confiscate the bottle outright.

Same as the US. Ridiculous as shit. When I first moved to Pattaya I brought some enzyme deodorizer. Since the bottle was too big I bought smaller bottles to put it in. I still brought the original bottle empty. What fucking sense does that make?

I highly recommend everyone to buy this rechargeable LED flashlight that is bright enough to light up an entire room. Just plug in to the wall to recharge. They have similar ones that run on batteries. 69 baht at Mr. DIY. One of the very few non necessity goods have purchased in Thailand.

Yes I got some. Unfortunately were slightly more expensive at Tesco Lotus. Limited options nearby, but maybe looked in the wrong place.

Perhaps mine are slightly different (but not much). However important to have some instant lighting when electricity goes down, till plug in the cords to the generator.

Already used the generator once now, but fortunately the outage was only 20 to 30 minutes. Was so hot, I certainly wanted the backup power fairly quickly to get the fans and refrigerator going. If overload it or some other problem the cut out switch can be tripped, but then just flick the switch back on a again. I am far out in country and its a bad area for outages. Virtually any high power wind in a storm will bring down branches onto power lines out on the main road. Council maintenance is poor to non existent.

Females do not appear to be as hung up on the age of the partner, as many males are. We will never understand them.

I have never seen Thai Customs search anyone at any Thai airports, so having many bottles in your check in bags might get thru. But somewhere they might be scanning bags. If yours get flagged, you loose.

I've seen customs officers in BKK stopping people and searching / X-Raying their bags. Probably profiled or random stops more likely, usually younger passengers.

Never happened to me, but I have heard of cigarettes and booze being confiscated when more than the allowed amount was discovered. Fines for this also. TIT.
