Same as the US. Ridiculous as shit. When I first moved to Pattaya I brought some enzyme deodorizer. Since the bottle was too big I bought smaller bottles to put it in. I still brought the original bottle empty. What fucking sense does that make?

Yes I got some. Unfortunately were slightly more expensive at Tesco Lotus. Limited options nearby, but maybe looked in the wrong place.

Perhaps mine are slightly different (but not much). However important to have some instant lighting when electricity goes down, till plug in the cords to the generator.

Already used the generator once now, but fortunately the outage was only 20 to 30 minutes. Was so hot, I certainly wanted the backup power fairly quickly to get the fans and refrigerator going. If overload it or some other problem the cut out switch can be tripped, but then just flick the switch back on a again. I am far out in country and its a bad area for outages. Virtually any high power wind in a storm will bring down branches onto power lines out on the main road. Council maintenance is poor to non existent.

Hello, its raining now at last, although wind is not high yet. We might be in for an outage soon. Ha ha.

Females do not appear to be as hung up on the age of the partner, as many males are. We will never understand them.

Definitely they are far more economically motivated than us, and also want reliable guys. There is the thing about trying Farangs.

Some girls do say they would rather have good sex with an older guy, over bad sex with a young selfish guy, however I think they would take the young hot guy in preference if he performs as good, and can appear experienced. I definitely notice a big decline in the way young Thai girls respond to me, compared to over 25 years ago, yet my skills are better now.

Girls can get it off, and can close their eyes if necessary and pretend its a young Brad Pitt, I guess.

In general, older guys are never seen as undesirable as older girls, if they are in reasonable condition. Some girls claim to like fat older guys. One very slim Long Gun special dancer girl of the past, would knock me back, and say she much preferred older cuddly Teddy Bear (fatter) type guys, and only went with guys occasionally (possible had a BF). Perhaps she was scared the sex workout would be too arduous. Maybe was just bullshit. I will never know. She was always happy to sit with me and get drunk. Just no sex available.

Anyway, like you, I don't always understand really.

My Mrs wants me a hell of a lot (20+ years older than her) when she is on "premium herb", but when she runs out of that, she gets lazy and not very horny. Us guys, we are just horny all the time, almost. No assist needed and always ready for it. Well actually no. The Mrs is hot, but if an old ugly girl wants to fuck me, I would not be that interested and dick might not rise to the occasion. We just have been getting girls too good (for looks) for too long.

Unlike others, a very plain looking pornstar is not my objective.

I am not casting aspirations on the validity of the posters but what is it be about.

Amazing sex or curiosity about what's it like with an old guy?

Maybe she likes discussing western values, culture, art, literature. Perhaps it's been taken to good restaurants bars and clubs, trips abroad or to the beach but most posts don't mention this as part of the arrangement and often in fact boast about it costing them nothing.

I keep coming back to it being that the girls see something in it for them whether short term and immediate or more long term where money is not discussed in the early stages. Here they roll the dice, hope for the best and take their chances it will work out eventually.

    What am I missing?
Why do they sleep with you?

In 3 trips to Thailand I have only scored one "free" girl. The free meaning no money exchanged for sex but I did buy her lunch, dinner, a cup of coffee and I volunteered to buy her a scarf that she was going to pay for anyhow.

What she got out of it? To stay in a 3 star hotel, her first white cock and the potential of snagging a long time boyfriend.

I have been to Bali more frequently and I have only paid once. Again of course there is food and drinks involved but no money for sex. I don't ask what their motives are but again it would range from experimenting to the prospect of a better future.

It does happen but in an environment like Thailand I think select and pay is far easier.

    Rob.

If it's for a single night, no one will know exactly except for the 2 involved.

If it's for a week long trip to a nice place where the expenses, meals and gifts are paid for, that is believable and does happen.

You got it. It is a Viet Nam error thing. A French contribution to their occupation in SEA. The best of the best, or as you put it, "the boys in the hood". You can pay big bucks for good cognac but the flavor of Cordon Blu is unmatched.

Watch, Apocalypse Now, a movie by Francis Ford Copula. He also has vineyards and award winning wines.

I've seen customs officers in BKK stopping people and searching / X-Raying their bags. Probably profiled or random stops more likely, usually younger passengers.

Never happened to me, but I have heard of cigarettes and booze being confiscated when more than the allowed amount was discovered. Fines for this also. TIT.

I had more than one cheap bottle from Italy I believe, and got through no problem. I don't know what it is about me, but Thai customs are never interested in me or my bags. If you are Chinese though, that maybe very different. So I am sure racial discrimination / profiling is going on.

One is more likely to have bag searched in home country. Never been checked in Europe either.

A gas cigarette lighter was once taken out of my luggage from Germany though, so I guess they xray for specific things. I don't believe it had any gas in it, most likely. Memory fades.

I have done a simple price comparison on several so-called duty-free items in HK, Incheon and Guam in trips over the past 3 months, and I can state with certainty that I can buy the same items in the SM liquor stores in Manila at the same or cheaper prices in Manila.

My reference points were Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Glenfiddich and Tanqueray gin. Each were cheaper in Manila and I didn't need to carry them on the plane.

    Another possibility also.

Then again I can't say if Hanoi is any better. I bought Pink Moet in Germany rather than try to buy here. Other alcohol bought very cheaply in Italy.

Supermarkets here have very steep prices for imported goods of quality. There are agents that don't do anything making a fortune in the mark up of the prices.

Maybe someone else will know a lot more specifics about champagne here. You might be able to order delivery from somewhere with a much better deal.
    Thanks for input fellas.

As I live in Italy, purchasing here and taking a bottle could work. All my next trip legs have luggage check in option if needed so I could do that.

The reason for this question is that my booked hotel in Phuket doesn't sell booze in room service. Not really a big problem as I'm not a big drinker these days. I want a source for the Champagne for this occasion only. Maybe there are local shopping options in Phuket? I generally hate supermarkets so last visit to SEA gave me reason to avoid them completely as eating out is so reasonable. I'm guessing even if I found a local supermarket selling it, it still might not be as cheap as Italy.

Buying in Hanoi could be an option, if worth it, as I could buy duty free I imagine, heading to Thailand. (I have checked luggage).

    Thanks.
