Do you think FKK clubs will be opening up soon? I heard that FKK clubs are not going to be opening up any sooner than you will be allowed back in to Thailand. At least in Thailand bars and gogo bars are already slowly reopening.

As for a Pattaya or Sukhumvit hotel isn't it much easier to just walk around and find a place when you are in town. If you're a visiting expat it's not like you'll have heavy luggage with you.

You can find hotels on the big sites, but you should book direct, as another member said.

Also don't worry, the hotels in the high season are not fully booked. That's just the default setting they always use if they're not accepting bookings for ANY reason. If you're seeing this they're likely closed at the moment. I had originally planned my second trip to Thailand this past February Just about every site I've used says "Property booked. Choose other dates". I would but at the moment these are the only windows of opportunity that I have. My question is, is it too early to start booking hotels or am I already too far behind to book the hotels I want on the dates I would like? Seems like everyone is eagerly looking forward to the virus subsiding and to places like Thailand opening back up that hotels are getting booked far in advance. I bet many are just booking hotels with free cancellation options to see what is going to happen. I suppose I could go that route but don't really want to spend more money to secure a what if scenario stay. I would appreciate any advise. Thanks in advance.

As to the reason and your speculation about timing of a definite decision I can only concur (although different Immigration Offices will have their own interpretation of any decisions).

The news comes as foreigners in Thailand are eagerly awaiting news regarding the current visa amnesty which at the time of publishing is due to end on 31 July.

Some have speculated that the re-opening of the temporary immigration office may be an indication that the visa amnesty will not be extended beyond its current expiry date.

However, no official announcement regarding the visa amnesty post 31 July has yet been made
