IME, that only applies to sex-workers. I've been seeing my fair share of low paid workers (7-11 staff, massage staff, farm staff, students, etc.), and "take care" means to give some emotional support, not money.

I don't know why some guys equate girlfriend as sex worker. I see guys on many threads of ISG refer to a sex worker as their girlfriend. When I hand a sex worker the 500 or 1000 baht that I owe them, our business is done. They have the same chance of telling me something about "taking care" as the cashier at 7-Eleven.

Not sure how some guys like ET, Goat, etc do it without continually traveling to other countries. Some wondered why I had decided to to stay in Japan and Korea for an extended period last year. Re. The 270 day Visa by the time they get it figured out it will be a full blown 2nd wave with kids back to school and the colder weather below 9 Celsius. This will cancel all talks of the new tourist visa.

Finally, am I the only person who was shocked to see live fans at NFL games? What are you thinking, USA?

For me, I mostly socialize with Westerners from the USA, U. K. , France, Germany, Belgium, Italy and so on and only interact with Thais on a more customer-seller basis. Except for many of the girls I socialize with, of course. But I do try to maintain some of my sanity by not getting sucked into their penchant for drama and constant financial crisis. Recognizing much of that is just a social interaction game they play out of habit and boredom helps. Their lives and futures are really not as dependent on you and your helping them as they try to make you think.

As far as my interaction with the Thai government goes, I actually find renewing my annual retirement visa easier and cheaper than before. I no longer need to make an appointment and separate trip to the USA Embassy and pay them 1,900 baht for a notarized income verification letter each time I renew. I already had a health insurance policy here years before it was added as a requirement.

On the issue of virus transmission mitigation efforts at the NFL game, many Americans have been refusing to engage in those efforts since the very beginning when Trump knew the facts about the seriousness of it, its deadly airborne transmission capabilities, that even young people get it, die from it, are carriers of it and the potential for hundreds of thousands of American deaths from it but chose instead to spend months lying to everyone about it in sync with Xi, telling them to "Open up your schools!", making fun of people who wear masks and so on for his personal political benefit in trying to keep the Dow from tanking again on his watch.

Obviously, that was another one of his disastrous economic decisions that produced terrible results all around including in the Dow. The Dow has not gone anywhere but up, down, up and down again for almost 3 years.
