I really think this is one of the biggest things. I am white, but more swarthy (Mediterranean), and Thai girls still say I look sort of Indian (They have no issue with me, largely because I dress OK, am polite, and am not in a large group of guys. There is definitely some initial judging, though. It's unavoidable.

Always remember TIT. Not all IO and airports are consistent. Get the wrong IO on the wrong day and this could be a major hassle. Happened to a friend of mine. Had the equivalence of 150k Thai baht on him in Euro and USD. Ran into the wrong IO and it took him 3 hours to get through Customs. It took a call from his Thai wife to shorten his detainment. Luckily he got in.

As others have replied, Thailand is all but closed for inbound travel and the chosen few who can get in have to do 14 days confined quarantine. This is unlikely to change for most for quite some time. The lack of inbound tourists means the mongering landscape has and will change significantly between now and things opening up.

7. Best to have Thai baht and currency to exchange. There is a rule when Immigration wants to enforce it that every person must carry 20,000 Thai baht when entering Thailand.

On the currency point the 20,000 can be the equivalent in foreign currency. The airport is probably just about the worst place to change money. Only use if you really have to and only the amount you need in order to get you to an exchange booth.

As well as TT, SuperRich certainly had the reputation for keen rates (it's been a while since I've used any because I just draw out of my Thai bank account). There are those who will spend a great deal of time going around checking the rates at multiple booths looking a few extra satang for their dollar. To me they can't value their time very much.

Exchanging twice, for instance from Rupees to Dollars and then on to Baht, is just letting two people make money on the transaction. Unless your home currency is not really recognised abroad (e. G. It didn't use to be officially possible to exchange Ukrainian Hryvnia outside Ukraine) then your own currency will do fine.

For spending it will have to be Thai baht pretty much everywhere. ATM machines accepting Visa / Mastercard amongst others are widely available but can be expensive both in fees (Thb 200 a time for the Thai bank + the card issuers fees) and exchange rates.

As Croc says, too early to plan. May not be until 2022 until you get in to Thailand, if ever again.

You said you have a good amount to spend on mongering. Telling us your daily budget for girls and drinks would be helpful for any of us to help you making plans. Keep in mind many of these bars may have closed down by the time Thailand reopens its borders. Also, what was the best bars pre-COVID may certainly not be post-COVID. Mamasans take their girls to different bars if they don't like the bar they're in.

2. There are hotels right on Walking Street in Pattaya. They are inexpensive but definitely don't expect anything glamorous with a couple of exceptions. In Bangkok. , you can stay in Ruamchit Plaza hotel with Thermae in the basement. There are also plenty of hotels near Nana and Soi Cowboy. Providing a budget helps us make recommendations but again no use for us to make these recommendations until Thailand reopens its borders to your country.

3. Doesn't matter if you drink or not buying a drink is mandatory in most bars. Don't be cheap. Buy girls drinks!

4. Up to you. We can't answer that question for you. Read posts pre-February 2020 and get an idea of which city seems most appealing to you. Do you want massage places, point and shoot bars, gogo bars, BJ bars / G Clubs, beer bars, discos, freelancers, Thai Friendly?

5. A night with a girl can be as little as 1000 baht and as much as 10 k baht. Average would be 2-3 k baht. A gogo girls would cost 5-7 k baht.

6. Up to you. Short time is usually 1 hour. 2-3 hours would be considered Long Time in most cases. If I only had a couple of days I'd be going with 5 different girls in a day rather than 1 girl for LT.

7. Best to have Thai baht and currency to exchange. There is a rule when Immigration wants to enforce it that every person must carry 20,000 Thai baht when entering Thailand. Don't always believe what you read. About half the posts on this forum are posted by the same guy under multiple handles.

I arrived to Thailand 12 days ago and I am still in alternative state quarantine, which is compulsory for all foreigners, unless you want to go for a state facility. 15 days, three tests and 40 to 140 k bht depending on the hotel. I made by a NON-O visa as my kids have (also) thai passport. Even if you get the visa (which is very unlikely) for the time being you won't find any flight. Myself I had to travel on a cargo flight used also to repatriate stranded Thais.

Thb, I think you can forget about your plans at least for another 6 months, probably more.

Right now, you can't enter Thailand with the Elite visa. They are talking about allowing those people in, but until they actually start (and terms are clear regarding queuing and conditions), I would not be too eager to hand over 500 k baht.

It's way too early to plan now. Best to wait and see what the scene will look like after Covid-19 epidemic passes and borders are re-opened, that might take a year. Surely there will be some working girls around, but venues and numbers might change, so any pre-Covid stories are better taken as vague pointers (which may lead nowhere), not recommendations.

Generally speaking, Pattaya is better than Bangkok if mongering is your primary focus.

Do you know how these visas are arranged? Are these agents affiliated with the government, or are they just doing the paperwork for you?

Go to the Thailand consulate in your city to discuss the process in detail if you are serious in applying. It's a lot of money to shell out. Remember TIT.

There are a number of agents offering this visa, https://www.thai-elite.com/ it costs 2 million for 20 years, 1 million for 10 years and obviously 500 K for five years. Note that each one gives you a five year visa which on the longer cards, you still need to reapply for.

The elite visa seems to be the best option to get into Thailand if you are not already a resident with family or one of the very few small groups allowed to enter. You still need to go through the entry process.
