And he is right. Who the hell is going to fly into Thailand if it means a 14 day quarantine at a state facility? So I am getting more and more pessimistic about my own travel plans for mid August let alone the rest of 2020 because the Wuhan Virus is not going away. It is most likely that there will be a continuing stream of new cases accompanied by negative press reports until a vaccine is found regardless of the real death rate and actual danger to the general public. The lockdown will end soon because it must, but allowing any foreigners back in without these restrictions is another issue that I do not believe the vast majority of Thais will support. Of course the Thai government can change it's policy in this regard at a moment's notice and there is pressure from the tourist industry to do so, but I don't hold out much hope. To me it is looking more and more like 2020 is gone/wasted except for those lucky few already in LOS. I envy you guys. Stay safe and have a great time.
