I've just looked at flights to Wuhan for March as I have some business to take care of there, couldn't even book a flight online.
Even better if the US warns against travel. Would I go to Wuhan? Don't think so. Chengdu or other places in China? I would. Even the locals will be spooked.

Unfortunately most of our targets go with whoever to make money. Case in point is I was sick one day and told this girl I cannot be with her that day and she said she still wants to come and be with me. I had to firmly say no.

Plenty of Chinese go to Philippines and Thailand for cheap vacation just like we do. So far there are no cancelled flights into those countries. If according to WHO virus can be easily transmissible everybody is taking a risk. Face mask or no face mask, sex or no sex. Even eating food may be contaminated. Add pollution to the mix.

Hopefully our immune system is good.
Jeez, virus is less deadly than SARS or MERS and seems to only spread through close contact. You are way more likely to get a nasty influenza type a. It's a great time to travel as prices will be down and people will be scared so less of them will be traveling.

Yes its far less dangerous than many normal risks (so far), providing you don't have it yet. Only once you have it, is the danger significant.

So the effect of scare is far more than needs to be, as was for bombs, bird flu, Sars, Asian swine flu, etc.

Would be interesting to know if the scare is so bad that Chinese people start to be totally avoided.

    Pandemic?

There is no need to panic, YET. 555. That said, I would not go to China at this time for love or money. I am not a particular fan of China anyway since the crack down to begin with. China really sucks except for Macau which is very, very expensive, but still pretty damn good. But just to see if the virus has had an effect on Macau Tourism I checked out Macau hotel rates on Agoda last night. Nope, the hotel rates are almost the same as normal. The MGM Grand, for example is still priced at over $200/ night for any night Sunday to Friday and a lot more for the weekend. Like I said, I wouldn't go to Macau right now even if the MGM were under $100/ night. But my point is; apparently the town is full of gamblers and other tourists of which the vast majority are from HKG & Mainland China. Nobody is panicking, at least not the gamblers and the punters. LOL.

Thailand (BKK & Pattaya): Fortunately I am not scheduled to arrive for another 2. 5 months and I expect the virus will be receding and under control by then. If not and by that I mean there would have to be thousands & thousands of current cases in LOS and then I would cancel my planned trip and head for Sao Paulo. It has been a long time since I visited Brazil. Brazilian girls are hot! But sadly there is a lot more silly cone and botox in Brazil than Thailand, although there are still plenty of sexy natural girls to satisfy my wants and needs. I prefer Sao Paulo over Rio. The former is for serious punters. Rio is for tourists. 555.

If I were scheduled to fly into Thailand next week I would still go, perhaps a little reluctantly, but still go. There are currently no refunds on Airline tickets because Thailand is not in a pandemic situation. In fact, the number of cases in Thailand is still extremely low. 14 confirmed cases as of now I think. So, I would take some precautions if I were in BKK or Pat like avoid the bars, restaurants and malls popular with the Chinese and I would stop using the trains. But that's me. Everyone facing an immediate decision to go or not go should make up their own minds based on a rational assessment of the situation and their risk tolerance level. There is always Sao Paulo! But keep in mind that TV news blows everything out of proportion to sell adds. Get your news from reliable sources.

    Couldn't agree with you more.

Tens of thousands die in the US alone every year from flu. Over 20,000 died last year on the roads here in Thailand.

Less than 200 have died from the virus all in China with a population of 1,3 billion and it's been reported a lot of those had underlying conditions that could have directly caused or greatly contributed to their deaths.

I know this will increase maybe even exceeding the almost 800 deaths deaths from sars but when a vaccine is found the panic will subside and all will be back to normal in a matter of months.

Personally I am far more concerned about the long term effects of pollution and being run over crossing the street than standing near a Chinaman with a cough.

Sounds crass I know but as an aside I'm taking full advantage of the market buying opportunities presented by the crisis.

However see how risky it really gets first. Soon it could be a higher risk than HIV, just speculating.

It seems possible that girls' livelihoods could be absolutely decimated. I mean we have huge scares in Bangkok before, that affected tourism badly, whether bombs, floods, SARS, bird flu, etc. Who will want to be in a crowd in a bar, once plenty of Bangkok cases have been announced.

Immediate problem could be that girls might not want Chinese customers unless they can confirm they have not been to China, or know anyone visiting China. Once many locals including hookers have it, it gets hard to say how drastic the consequences can be. However what we know is there is generally a huge over reaction, to relatively minor risks. So mongering trade can be hit badly by relatively minor risks.

Within Thailand clearly Pattaya if mongering is a high priority.

This is difficult. If HK or Macau are not an option, I'd personally pick Kuala Lumpur. It's a vibrant city with great food, affordable hotels, decent transportation, enough things to see. KL has a reasonably sized mongering scene, although smaller than Pattaya or Bangkok and clearly not aimed at Farang customers. A large selection of nationalities, but basic service, not much GFE. I'm sure a fair number of people would disagree on this, not the least because drinking is expensive in Malaysia.

A more typical choice for a Farang monger would be Phnom Penh or Angeles, but I'm not a fan of either.

Many experienced Visa runners go to PP. Huge scene and nothing else to do. And cheap.
