Posts: 70I've never ever heard anyone get their visa application rejected when the papers were in order. There are no limits on amount of visas in a year etc. , so either bullshitting or the 'friend' fucked up the application?
Either way, just find an 'easy' consulate, and apply there. I hear one in Bali is pretty lax. Take like at least a week outside the Thai borders before you apply again too, I would say.
Not sure if you got a special 'denied' stamp in your passport though, which may hinder.

Posts: 666My Plight as a US Refugee. My Journey Back to Hell.
After chilling with some local fishermen in Phu Qouc, they got the idea that I was a stand up guy and I could be trusted. They agreed to help me get to Thailand through a Cambodian refugee route. Apparently, the route in itself isn't monitored much because there was no need for an outsider from a 1st world country to ever pull off something like this. Who the heck sneaks into Thailand but has a USA passport? So the fishermen from Phu Quoc are acquainted with those in the small villages of Koh Thmei. I was told there is but a couple of small poor settlements on that island that does trade with the Vietnamese in Phu Quoc. So I suggested that I buy and give to the poor Cambodian villagers in exchange for their help to get me to Thailand. My Vietnamese fisherman guide thought that was a nice gesture and great idea. I guess simple people don't care as much about money as we think. To get their help, I had to win their trust. So I went of an bought about 40,000,000 VND worth of milk and sugar to give to the Cambodian villagers.
Of course I then was able to hide myself and my luggage in that shipment of goods to the Cambodian village on a fishing boat. It wasn't that long until we reached the village. I'm not certain of the name but kept hearing the fishermen say "Chong Chong. " There the people unloaded the milk and sugar and there was a conversation between the Vietnamese fishermen and the Cambodians about helping me to get to Thailand. My guide told me that he and his team will have to go back to Phu Quoc, but the Cambodian fishermen agreed to take me along the national park by boat to a major highway that connected to Prey Nob. From there, they have a plenty of friends that can help me all the way to Thailand. So after a seafood lunch with all the villagers from both islands, I was shipped off on another boat ride through Cambodia.
Once we landed near the highway, it wasn't but about 10 minutes when we were picked up by an English speaking Cambodian. He was the son of one of the fishermen. His dad told him that I needed help and he was to get me into Thailand. The meeting was short and I was rushed into his Prius. At this point. I was thinking "Dang, I'm getting human trafficked. " Actually it wasn't a bad trip, so far. Nobody asked me for money, but I paid the Vietnamese fishermen for their time anyways. In Prey Nob, I paid cash for a hotel for 1 night in US dollars and it wasn't an issue. The next day the guy with the Prius picked me up for breakfast before our journey to the Koh Kong beach near the Thai border and told me that his father mentioned to him of the nice deed I did for the villagers with the milk and sugar. I told him "no problem."
He talked about how poor the people are and that the government fails to take care of its own. All this money spent to on the military and for power or political struggles, while the people suffers. He told me that people are starving in Cambodia in places like Prey Nob far away from tourists. I felt kind of bad, so I told him I wanted to help as a way of saying "thanks" for him driving me to the Thai-Cambo border. So before we left the city. We stopped by a store where I purchased about $1000 worth of noodles, rice, and condiments. He then called ahead to a local temple. And when we arrived, there were already quite a few people, who waited patiently for our gift. We just helped unload and then I was off for my 4 1/2 hour ride to Koh Kong where I was to meet his Thai buddy. Like most Thai's, this guy expected and was in it for the money and I of course had to pay a fee for transport. So wish me good luck! It's nap time.
