I could be completely wrong here but I think you can get the prescription from the pharmacy if the pharmacist is working. Not all of them have pharmacists working full time. I haven't tried to get viagra but I went to a pharmacy to get bonjela for a mouth ulcer and they couldn't sell me any because I needed a script and the pharmacist wasn't there. For Bonjela! I went to another pharamcay in the same building and the pharamcist was working so I could buy it there. This was in the building next to the Grand Hyatt, I can never remember the name. Again, I may be completely wrong and you could need a script from a doctor but some countries have strange laws.

    Erratum and a further Clarification

    1. The pharmacy where I bought the bootleg, fake Cialis was on Soi 22 not Soi 23 as I originally posted. The pills, the box, the packaging, everything about them looked real, but they were fake. They were poison. Pill for pill, I could not tell them apart from the real ones I had purchased in a Costco Pharmacy, USA. I am glad I did not mix the two lots together.

    2. As far as I am aware, all the large, airconditioned, national chain Pharmacies in BKK require a prescription in order to purchase Cialis or Viagra. That is too bad and the main reason I make the bulk of my purchases in Jakarta and Manila. That said, I have made small purchases at Charoen Pharmacy on Sukhumvit between Soi 4 and Soi 2. In my experience, they are a very reliable provider of name brand and generic medications (not just ED meds) with very good prices. Someone else pointed out that, "they do massive sales business and rely on their reputation for quality."

The only thing I do not like about them is their store has no air conditioning, thus all their medications are stored at BKK room temperature. But I always look to buy product from them with the most time left until expiration and I have never been disappointed with the quality of the meds they have sold me. BM's, This is the place to make your purchases if you are not venturing on to Manila or Jakarta.

Just because the person is wearing a white jacket with a pocket protector full of ball point pens, that doesn't mean they are any more reliably honest a provider of the product than the guy or girl working a table right outside their door. Not in Thailand, that is. Unless the box and presentation of the product was truly slipshod and amateurish, what your druggist was offering was, imo, a generic version of Cialis and not "fake" boner pills. Several real pharmacists offer that option here in Bkk. I would also submit that is the same "generic" product the guys on the street sell. Most of those street sellers have been working the same table and location for the entire 5 years or so that I have lived here. I'd bet real money there has been a greater staff turn over rate in the so-called real pharmacies nearby during these past five years.

Most of my expat friends and I buy the generic Cialis / Viagra product sold on the street all the time and none of us have suffered negative reactions. Oh, sometimes we get a batch that doesn't seem to work as well as the batch we bought the month prior. Sometimes it works better. I would say the same about the original Lilly and Pfizer product I have taken over the years.

I am literally steeped in pussy lately and long for a day here and there where I can take a break. lol. Since that is a rarity, my boner assistance drug combination of choice these days is one tablet of Black Ant King in the middle of the day or a few hours before sex (sometimes only half a tablet is fine if I know the girl I will be with is an especially hot and reliable honey) and a 100mg of Tadalafil (generic Cialis) shortly before sex, 30-60 minutes prior, let's say about the time we are heading back to my room. Both of which I buy from the same 2-3 vendors on the street I have been buying from for years. No negative side effects so far.
The recommended dosage for Tadalafil is 20 MG and you are taking 100 MG. I'm surprised you don't have side effects from that large of a dose? I agree that some of the batches that don't always work and take a quick acting Kamagra jelly with me as insurance. I used to buy Apcalis made in India at the pharmacy inside Foodland on Soi 5 for about 200-250 baht for 4 20 MG tablets but its no longer available. Much less side effects than Viagra and long lasting into the next day.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advises consumers not to purchase or use Black Ant King. WHY? Because "FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Black Ant King contains sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA approved prescription drug Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). "

Taking Cialis and Viagra together, whether knowingly or unknowingly, is very risky business. It is like doubling up on your ED medication. You should always consult with your physician before self medicating like this.

Furthermore, buying Cialis, Viagra, or their generics from street vendors to save a few baht is pretty crazy IMHO. The customer has no idea of what he is getting, let alone how long and under what conditions the product has been stored. But hey, its your body. Do what you like. I like to purchase my meds in large, airconditioned, national chain pharmacies like Century or Guardian in Jakarta or Mercury Drugs in Makati.

True Story: about 4 or 5 years ago I bought a couple of boxes of Cialis (Eli Lilly) from a small pharmacy on Soi 23. They were not only ineffective, but I became sick a few hours later and threw up. I did not attribute my illness to the pills at the time and a couple of days later I was feeling good again, but I went back to using the rapidly dwindling supply of my American purchased Cialis and everything was fine. I then flew to Macau. I was down to my last two USA pills, so I tried one of the Soi 23 Cialis again and it was ineffective, but about 4 hours later I was sick and vomited again! That was it. I put 2 and 2 together. What were the odds of my getting sick and vomiting twice on two separate occasions in two different cities with only one thing in common; the fake Soi 23 pills. Only God and the swine bootleggers know what they really were. So, I flushed the whole lot down the toilet and that was that. A few days later I flew to Manila and bought genuine, name brand Viagra (Pfizer) at a Mercury Drugstore. They were as real as you can buy, fresh with over a year until expiration, and kept in a proper controlled temperature environment. Like I said that was 4 or 5 years ago. Since then I only make my purchases (name brand and generic) in legitimate national chain pharmacies in air-conditioned, upscale malls and have had no ill consequences. I learned my lesson good. I pass this along so others may not have to learn the same lesson I did. BTW, I have not vomited since then. 555. Stay safe.

    Black Ant feedback

Please share your experience with Black Ant. How long have you been taking these tablets? I assume this has helped your performance?
To play devils advocate, it could be the generic Cialis boosting your performance.

A common complaint is that Black Ant does NOT list all the ingredients on the label. So you are not sure what you are ingesting.
On gymjunkies dot com there is a review of Black Ant which says the FDA has warned people not to take these pills.

    Thanks,
    ~BKKguru.

    KS pharmacy update

I Walked in today. No Kamagra gels no Cialis generic were available. They had only generic V. The price was 700 baht for a pack of 4 100 MG pills. Still looking for Kamagra gels from a decent supplier not from the street vendors. Anyone knows the source.

That is the problem, it is not a pharmacy, the only connection to a pharmacy is they both wear white coats, there are more quasi pharmacies in Thailand than real ones.

This is my issue with the street sellers. Pharmaceuticals need to be kept at moderate room temperatures to retain potency. Baking in street vendors storage bins for weeks / months is sub-optimal storage.

Has anyone taken these and if so, do they work and are they considered safe? Internet search says not to take, but of course they are news sites etc and maybe just scaremongering. Anyone experience of this?
You pay a very high premium for Cialis brand name. Generic tadalafil is available far cheaper and a common brand name last I heard was Apcalis. I would prefer to buy in a good Pharmacy myself rather than on the street. I don't know the reliability of street sellers. However 700 baht for generic sounds rather too high. I would have thought 400 baht max. I don't use Tadalafil myself at all. Never found any benefit however I hear it works far better for most people.

Buying "genuine" is an invitation to be really ripped off by supplying a copy in a box that looks like the original. Why waste your money? I once bought supposedly genuine Cialis for my boss (not in Thailand) for about 1800 Baht, but I also bought him an Apcalis to try, to see if it was actually any different. Next time he was quite happy to order Apcalis and save big money.

I thought I heard that Thai Sidegra (generic Viagra) was about 200 baht these days, maybe even less in quantity.

Well it's clearly a copy. Same name and logo of Cialis, copying the manufacturer Lilly's labelling, address etc but in a typical counterfeit way. Anyway, I just took one for tomorrow's shenanigans so let's see.

My guess is that it is generic tadalifil that was made to look like the real thing. The fact that the pharmacy knew it was fake, should mean they should know what it is made of. And unlike the guys on the street, if something goes bad, they can't exactly run away from the situation. They will need to deal with angry customers.

That is because you and your girlfriend get in visa free, Visa on arrival you must fill in a form and provide supporting documentation. What the link says is you may be asked to demonstrate you have funds but in the 20+ times I have visited I have never been asked, my wife however having a Ukrainian passport was required to have the documentation meeting the requirements for visa on arrival.
