    Bangkok Backpage

Just curious if anyone else noticed that you cannot access Bangkok's Backpage escort section or any section for that matter. All links from a quick Google search go straight to the US version of the main page where you select the state you are interested in. I am currently in the states so maybe it is accessible in Thailand. Maybe not. The last time I could access was maybe 2 days ago. Not a deal-breaker but just curious what happened and where these ads will migrate to besides CL.

Reminds me of a legit foot massage I was getting in Bangkok. The lady asked me where I was from:

    "New York". No recognition.

    "America". No recognition.

    "USA". No recognition.

I pointed to the USA on the map on the wall next to me. No recognition.

She was wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt, so I said:

"You wear a Mickey Mouse t-shirt. Mickey Mouse from the USA ". Shoulder shrug.

It is not a subject that would occur to her if she was trying to think of some flattery. Just maybe there are a few girls that have had good experiences with guys from my country. If I ask a bargirl I have known a long time, which nationalities she likes, I actually expect an honest answer, in a fair proportion of cases. If I just met her, I would not be asking. Girls get used to the idea that I am a guy who doesn't need flattery. They are willing to fuck me and have fun with me. That is all that matters. If a girl started sucking up to me, I would soon tell her to stop that rubbish.

I think my key point is, if you think the girl will need to make up a bullshit answer to a question, then the question should not be asked. You make small talk, where you think the girl will probably give an honest answer in a large percentage of cases, otherwise it's pointless, unless you already know the answer and want to test her honestly, like do you have silicones?, when she obviously has them, or does she have a nose job.

LOL. Then the mostly jokey small talk can easily move into something like, "Oh? You like customers from USA?" and then some other girl sitting there pipes in with another country she likes the men from and on it goes. It isn't as though asking which country's customers / men a bargirl likes the most is high or even normal on my list of interview questions. LOL.

I would think the line of questioning that virtually begs a bargirl to bullshit you is when the topic moves into things like, "Do you ever get ripped off by customers?" or "What kind of behavior in a customer really annoys you?" Imo, this would likely invite tall tales filled with self-serving, even Face-saving nonsense designed to encourage any customer willing to listen to give her more money while being a good boy and not asking her to do very much to earn it.

I am a little different. I like to ask the awkward questions and get them to come clean. When they see that I can care less about an answer that may be less than desirable to some other guys, then they can be relaxed and realize they do not have to hide anything from me.

And in that regard, it is very likely, not true 100% of the time without exception, just very likely that they might assume more often than not that a white, native English-speaking customer they have just met is from the country filled with white, English-speaking customers that happens to be closest to Thailand; Australia. Maybe an attempt at flattery, maybe just an automatic assumption based on previous experience.

Yes some girls will try to deny this, but not that many, unless they think their nose job is perfection and cannot be detected. LOL Do you have a baby is a good one? Most girls will answer honestly.

Okay I can see the big difference in asking a girl a question of fact where evidence is available, and asking a question of opinion. Bullshit maybe a little more forthcoming for opinions. However I just don't ask, if I think the girl may feel the need to make up bullshit. I recall one Thai girl met many years ago who made up bullshit answers to almost every question. I had to tell her often that I did not want to hear such bullshit and learned not to ask anything at all probing. However never met another girl so consistently telling me bullshit, bargirl or not.

Guys that describe bargirls as full of bullshit, are probably asking them to many awkward questions. I do recognise that bargirls vary. Some are relatively honest. Others not. After a short time booking, the girl tells me she is going to go home. LOL I offer her a lift in the taxi since it is sort of on my way. She declines. So okay She is probably going to party with friends, or potentially meeting some other guy, or going back to the bar. Sure I don't believe her story in cases like this. However it is just possible she wants to eat some food with a friend, and then proceed home with her usual motorcycle guy who sends her every day. She could be just omitting some minor details that she did not intend to reveal. Could even have a boyfriend hanging around waiting to take her home. LOL You certainly can't expect an honest answer about whether she has a Thai boyfriend. Same applies to non bargirls with this type of question.

Everyone tells lies sometimes. You merely have the extremely deceptive and misleading girls, and the relatively straight forward girls, and a lot in between. I have to tell lies myself quite often, when necessary, for very awkward questions like "what did you do this evening?" or "where are you?" LOL. Fortunately on the forum, we are anonymous so bullshit is not necessary.

Modern phones with LINE App and video calls etc. Are a big nuisance. Girls can call to check where you are. How come your phone was switched off or no answer? No signal or flat battery isn't going to wash every time. Fortunately I found a GF who does not check. Previously I had a fucking detective GF. LOL Now I have a regular liason who likes to ask how many times I fucked since I last saw her. Sometimes a very unfortunate question. Usually I am sure I fucked less than she did since last time I did her. I never ask her how many guys she fucked. I may be prone to slight under exaggeration in my answers, even though I fucked very few times since I saw her. Not sure if she is checking just how much I prefer her, starting to have jealousies, or concerned about chances I might be barebacking other girls, etc. I promise her I am not barebacking other girls, then she asks what about condom accidents? LOL Everyone has a condom accident sometimes. I could be asking her how many guys she is barebacking too (but decided against it). Main BF for sure is at least one. This girl doesn't have to keep secrets from me, but I still don't ask any awkward questions. It makes girls feel relaxed and under no pressure, no hassles coming from me. I recommend it. Never try to control the girl. She hates all the guys who want her for themselves and try to control her. Once the guy gets into controlling mode, she will probably dump him quickly.

I can't understand the mentality of guys who deliberately want to cause hassles for the girl. Makes the girl become very untrusting of that guy and guys in general.

"jai gwarng" is the term Thais use to describe guys like me. Literally means "broad hearted", like a "jai dee" except maybe having a good heart with a few too many different girls. LOL Thai girls have the built in instinct that they don't like you spending your money on other girls too much.

No, not really. If that had been the basis of my comment I would not have begun the comment with a statement about what is "possible" and ended it with "probably". Instead, I would have used words like "every time", "without exception" and "always". Besides, the rest of your response is about Thai girls in general, girls you know beyond first meeting and your girlfriends in particular. I agree that most Thai girls are oblivious to many things and will blurt out unflattering comments without hesitation. But I was talking about bargirls and mostly bargirls on first meeting.

I don't think you can find too many people who admit to voting for Hillary either. People keep their votes private for the most part. The old rule is never discuss Religion or Politics because everyone has different beliefs and they won't change their mind. All you have to do is look at who won the election and it's easy to figure out who most people truly support, whether they admit to it or not.

My earlier comment was meant as humor. I do think the average American is polite. At least the ones who can afford a trip around the world.

LOL So there's no explaining why so many of us are appalled by him. I have a Norwegian friend with a bar in Thailand who does not like to have German customers as they are "loud and rude" according to him.

The logic is based on the idea that girls will tell you bullshit every time, even if the reasons to do so are very weak. I have met many Thai girl who largely stay away from bullshit. Actually did not meet many at all that said they prefer my country. It just wasn't needed to try to flatter me. The only flattery I hear regularly is the "anaconda" one, of course, since the word is the same in every language. I have never been told Godzilla, so I guess I have to go away and weep. I guess it's not mammoth after all.

My GF indirectly flattered me by rescinding the "muu uan" (fat piggy) that she originally used to call me, after I lost quite a few kilos. So really Thai girl flattery does not go that far. Many just don't bother with such bullshit. When I pay Thai girls a compliment, they seem to say "paak waan" as if it is also bullshit, and I have to assure them that I only ever pay very honest compliments from the heart. I am not going to tell a girl I love her cute nose, when it's actually a surgeon's cock up. If I get a girl with big silicones, I am not going to say I love her tits "too much, too much".

Someone pointed out I used this word "too much" too often. It comes from a silly playful Thai song, popular with young teens, that goes like "Missing you so much, too much, very much" (yes it was actually in strange English). So I probably got influenced.

I have never managed to evidence of my GF telling me a lie. She must use it very sparingly indeed. She is smart that for any questions she does not like, for one reason or another, she just does not answer. You can suspect the true answer, but never be certain at all. I don't like to believe anything rigidly if I don't see the evidence though.

Perhaps there are just less Europeans. Yet in an office environment, I find the Europeans to be the loudest, e.g Italy, Germany, etc.

Girls usually ask how long does it take to fly to your country, and usually seem surprised by how long it is.
