Posts: 220Read in a scientific journal: "A sperm has a maximum lifespan of 2 days, but the most vigorous ones can sometimes survive up to 4 to 5 days in the vagina of the woman. ".
Good luck to all our BBFS.

I was cured by taking 2 types of antibiotics, oral and sting treatment for a horse.
I think that in Rawai they must see quite a lot of these illnesses and they know how to cure them.

Posts: 492Are food costs roughly the same as precovid
I was in Phuket right before COVID shut down the bars. Does it cost roughly the same to eat out at the less expensive Thai cafes? Are the street food vendors as plentiful as they were? Thanks for any info.

Also, it should be mentioned those "0. 08%" and "0. 04%" chances of contracting HIV through receptive and insertive penile-vaginal sex, respectively, as cited in your link are "Per 10,000 exposures" estimates with 1 exposure meaning fucking an HIV-Postive person.
Moreover, with the HIV control drugs easily available today, a person who previously tested positive for HIV but whose drug regime has lowered the viral level to a point where it no longer shows up in a routine test would not realistically be among those "Per 10,000 exposures" sexual partners.
Giving or receiving Oral Sex, receptive or insertive, provides so LOW a chance of contracting HIV per 10,000 exposures they don't even warrant a fraction of a percentage estimate on that link.

Went to use the ATM today and every so often you get a machine that asks if you want their rate or to continue without using their well conversion. Always go the no conversion route. It told me my total would be $609 usd with their conversion but I selected without. I then went into my bank account and the deduction was $574. Easy to lose $34 if you don't pay pay attention.

Doxycycline 100 MG. Twice daily for seven days.
Azithromycin 1000 - as a single dose, or can split into 2 doses.
All taken on an empty stomach which is slightly unpleasant, but not too bad. Everything is available without prescription at most independant pharmacys.

Posts: 5452My history of catching things sexually. YMMV

Got a vasectomy decades ago and never impregnated a girl. As far as I know, that is.
I did get some abrasions on the skin of my dick 3-4 years ago from an overly aggressive cowgirl rider. I wasn't sure if that was all it was so, for the first time I did take some over-the-counter antibiotics. But the rough spots were gone by the next day after simply applying some regular moisturizing lotion from Foodland Market. Ordinary Nivea Lotion. So I think it was only abrasions as I suspected.
I do routinely get tested for HIV and Syphilis at Thai Red Cross in Bangkok every month or two in order to have a results document to show any partner or potential partner who wants to see it. Takes about an hour, 200 baht per test, 400 baht total. Been doing that every month or two for the almost 10 years I have lived here and it has always turned up Normal / Negative / Non-Reactive. I also got the 3-shot vaccination for HPV there several years ago since I do a lot of DATY.
Almost every time I get tested a counselor gives me the results privately in an office and asks if I use condoms, do I have a girlfriend, multiple partners and so on. I always tell the man or woman counselor the truth; No and Many. Not once in all these years has a counselor then recommended, suggested or even hinted I ought to consider taking PrEP. Yet I know they have it there, sell it there and might even give it away for free under certain circumstances. I don't take it.
Take that for whatever it's worth. I hope that helps. As always, YMMV.

From what I've read, chances of getting HIV are small for those who do not allow anything to be inserted into themselves (needles or penis); I suspect that is most of us. Thailand also has a massive HIV treatment system, after identification of HIV, the patients are treated and medicated for life. They get quarterly medical checkups for their HIV. They have good success at bringing CD4 levels up to safe levels. The amount of HIV in their systems becomes so low that it cannot be detected and BB sex becomes safe. I don't think HIV is a big concern for straight punters who do not share needles. Is it 100% safe? No.
I worry more about other viruses than HIV.
Bacterial infections are a completely different thing. They grow quickly and can spread quickly. I once read an internet article that described contents of a police station "rape kit". One item was a single 250 MG dose of Azithromycin (one sixth of a Z-pak). I wonder if taken after BBFS that would be sufficient to prevent bacterial infections from multiplying. I've been unable to find that article recently, so I cannot reread it.

Posts: 165If you are BBFSing that often, how often do you catch anything? Are you on PreP? Or self treat with antibiotics?

Now if you're talking about 10-20 years ago I have no idea you'll have to consult Mr. Goatscrot.
I just realized this post is in the general thread instead of the Bangkok thread. My response was based on my experience in Bangkok. Pattaya is not the same except for the very top tier clubs.
