A quick post to show the difference between the prices one would pay for a cab from the airport to Sukhumvit. First time I came to BKK, at the end of October, went downstairs like a sheep following all the other farangs and touts mainly due to being very tired after a long trip and got screwed big time by a cab driver whose meter ran almost 800B to Soi 23. Must have used a rigged meter for sure. Anyways, was very tired and didn't want to argue over a few bucks. Yesterday, on my 2nd visit to BKK after returning from the Phils to do my 1st visa run, upon arriving in BKK, went to the 4th floor in the departure area and took a cab from there to Soi 3 for 250 (including tip). So keep that in mind guys, when you arrive at the international airport in BKK, after clearing immigration and getting your luggage, go straight to the departure area (4th floor) , ignore all the touts offering taxis and wave one that is dropping people at the airport. You shouldn't pay more than 300 if you're going to sukhumvit.
Wish I had that info when I first came to BKK.

If you check "flight saver date search" the rates will show up including taxes.
I'd rather spend a few bucks more and take Cathay over China Airlines.

I put in a date for him for example: April 15th, departure SFO / BKK returing date June 5th? Price was $1207 before taxes etc. Then we work backwards some April 6th. May 30th, and the price dropped to $1037. 00 before taxes etc, then again we tried April 4th and the price dropped to $937. 00 before taxes. You got to be reflexiable to save. If not then you're stucked?

I also found better offers on a European website for certain dates, so, if you don't mind to pay your flight tickets in Euros, it might be worth it, even after being charged the exchange rate and bank fees: http://www.illicotravel.com/

Well, you were right; when I switched to the '1000 posts' setting, It started loading 1000 posts on the main screen as well, which was taking a long time. So I switched back to the default setting. This time around the '1000 posts per page' option in the printable screen stayed. Back to normal!
Thanks for your help.

Check what you have in the "Number of Posts to Show Per Page:" option. In my profile, I use the forum default setting here, but if it doesn't work for you, there is also another setting that you should try here: "Show 1000 posts per page". But it would probably apply to the screen too and not only on the printable version then.

In the URL syntax, 21848 is the thread number, and 1000 is the number of posts per page. So, if you click on your "Show 15 post (s) from this thread on one page" link, I guess that you may then replace 15 by 1000 at least at the end of the URL and then, it should display 1000 posts per page.

Posts: 61Thanks for the reply Goyave.
Yes, that's what I used to get all the time, but now when I go there, I get this option instead:
"Show 15 post (s) from this thread on one page"
15 instead of 1000!
Not sure why.
Thanks anyway.
