At times the bottom of the condom creeped up the shaft, required a tug back down. That's a trade off I was gladly willing to live with.
But then Durex discontinued the Avanti and replaced it with the Avanti Bare and Avanti Ultima. New ones are also made out of polypro. I'll try the new ones after I've exhausted my stockpile of Avantis. I haven't seen or heard of any Avanti models sold in Thailand, didn't see any when in Malaysia. I expect I'll have to buy them on the net and not complain to much about shipping cost.

ais and true move have already sent their subsidaiary companies to join the tot in operating the 3g service. the two companies are acting as mobile virtural network operator (mvno) for the time being.
the terms of reference (tor) have been completed and are now under the attorney general offices consideration. the bidding wil take place in december and the name of the winning company wil be announced in january of next year.
the service is planned in three phases. the first phase, in which the service will be provided in important areas, is expected to be available in the 2nd quarter of 2011. serviced in the second phase will be provided for bangkok, four surrounding provinces, and 13 other economic provinces; it should be in operation within 180 days after the first phase has been in place.
the third and final stages, which will cover the whole country, will be completed within 4 years. the tot expect that the 3g service will be able to support up to seven million numbers.
in summary... which i have heard before there is currently no 3g operation in thailand?

i need to use the internet on my own notebook pc via a very high speed internet connection (plug in lan cable).
used to be such an internet cafe in sukhumvit soi 11 but its gone now, after alley redevelopment.
most so called "high speed" cafes are actually low speed and useless for my needs? any suggestions for good place on upper sukhumvit area or not too far?
i assume usb plug in wireless air cards will be too slow, but correct me if i am wrong.
what i am used to using (not in thailand) that works o.k. is 54 mbps and somewhat slower may be o.k.

I have a 3 entry tourist visa which is good until end of April 2011. I have to leave Thailand on the 28th of December (I know very bad timing due to New years and all that) but I was wondering what would be the consequences/fine if I were to not leave Thailand on the 28th of dec and instead leave in the first week of Jan 2011? Am I going to be blacklisted? Forbidden entry in Thailand for the next x months/years? Or worse, deported?
QUOTE]
How long does your visa allow you to stay in the country, and how long have you been there?
If you overstay your visa one day they shake their finger and tell you to not do it again, if you overstay your visa more, then you must pay a fine for every day that you are there. So, calulate the number of days that your visa allows you to stay and make your decision. Some are 30 days, some 90, and some one year.
If you are at the end of your allowed stay and have one more entry allowed, consider a "visa run", go to Cambodia or Laos and then reenter the country and the clock will start ticking again. There are visa runs from all the major cities almost every day, just look around for a travel agent and they will be able to assist you.

Gents,

I'd like some feedback on that matter and as to whether I should pay top $ and leave Thailand towards the most expensive time of the year to travel anywhere or stay here for an extra week and then leave Thailand for my visa run? What would you experienced gents recommend/suggest?
Thanks a bunch!

Well, that would have been a good story...
But actually, a few days ago, after a fairly stressful time at work, I was diagnosed with high blood presure. Surreally high; I won't even tell you the numbers because you'll just say by rights I should explode... Funny thing is, I don't have any of the risk factors (beyond chronic obesity, old age, no exercise, family history, diabetes, etc ). Anyway, I bought myself a blood pressure monitor to check my readings while I am away on business. A couple of days travelling and the numbers were still on overload.
But then today, BP has dropped to normal levels. And all I have done is had a couple of awesome bonks with the gf...
Of course what it is, is those little blue pills. They dilate the blood vessels, allowing blood to reach the important parts, and at the same time lowering the overall pressure. Just checked on-line, but trust me, I am a doctor.
So the solution is simple. To live longer, bonk longer and oftener...
