i usually use proxies, anomizers or the jap tool to surf anon. the latter might not be to your taste as it usually slows down speed dramatically and i know you are a heavy downloader.

big bro is always watching, no matter where you are and since the european parliament decided to track all your communication activities (phone, mail, internet ...) and store these infos for an extended period of time (the usa is doing it already for some time) it is even more important to do so.

they claim that they will need that info to find (potential) terrorists. what morons they are, not knowing what they talk about. seems they never heard of pgp or steganography. anybody who wants to hide something just needs to use these techniques or goes to the next internet cafe, as easy as that.

not enough that you got to strip (financially) when doing your tax clearance, now they can even create a profile of your movements in case you carry a cellphone with you. no need to call anybody, having it turned on is enough as it has to log into your provider's network. they also decided that your fingerprints will have to be stored on a rfid chip in your passport. easy to read out that info (e.g. standing in a few meters range from you at immigration) without you knowing. not much equipment needed for it and we will see how this info might be misused sooner or later.

the thai gov doesn't care about all that shit (so far) but wants to save your already rotten soul :d

so better take cover if you don't want them to have almost complete insight in your private life.

Air show rehearsal delays 40 flights

About 40 international and domestic flights due for takeoff and landing at Bangkok International Airport were delayed by air force aircraft including F16 fighters rehearsing for an air show as part of Children's Day today. Commercial flights were delayed from 10am until late afternoon as the airspace and runways were partly closed for practice ahead of the air show, stranding hundreds of passengers at the airport, said aviation officials.

The rehearsal worsened the congestion at Don Muang which has already caused flights, especially at peak hours, to miss their schedules. The situation improved in the evening after the drill finished.

Yesterday's problems were so critical that the organising committee decided to cancel the air show today. However, the air force's aircraft will continue to be on show on the tarmac and other ground celebration activities remain unchanged.

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has said that more than 800,000 websites deemed "inappropriate," will be shut down. He has warned website hosts not to allow any inappropriate messages or pictures to show on theirs websites.

The premier said that the bottom line is to eradicate obscene media which may mislead youths. He said that those who post inappropriate pictures or messages on the website will be seriosly punished.

He has assigned the Minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, Mr. NEWIN CHIDCHOB (เนวิน ชิดชอบ) and Metropolitan Police to strictly inspect websites.

Moreover, youth network can inform any details of inappropriate websites at thaicybercop.com or hotline No. 1111.

I will be arriving at bkk Feb 12th at 00:05 AM. I will be flying down to Phuket around 11:00 AM that same day. I have heard the bars will be closed on the 12th and 13th due to the holiday.

And you also have the bars in Washington Square, some skanky ones in these but who knows. There are entrances to the the square from Soi 22 and Sukhumvit by the Dubliner pub.

Also there is the pseudo trendy. Titanium on Soi 22. Some cute girls there in their Vietnamese style dresses, bra less, all girl band can be quite entertaining, at least they do not play Hotel California. Walk in freezer for vodka upstairs but relative to Cowboy and other bars on 22 expensive. A few expat wankers in there tho'.

Definitely can get GFE in Queens Plaza but finding a real cute one is not so easy. I like the bars at the back and the small ones on the right as you enter from 22.

Like someone else said all kinds of massage places too in close proximity...

The hotels are reasonably girl friendly although you should make sure that you book a double... the old Jade pavilion now Mercure gave me hassle a few times and the Regency can be difficult. Check the forum for more details.
