the changes of pay scene in Thailand, my observation
To me it seems like the pay scene from 5 years ago has changed a lot compared to now in BKK. The present seems like the top quality workers are not much available in conventional venues in Thailand. I have been in and out of Thailand for over 10 years so I see the drastic changes in last 5 years or so.
There was the real nice cutie class available in conventioanl venues like in massages, agogos, ect over 5 years ago, but this class has drastically shrank and gone into the more privatized venues such as gentlemen lounges, high end karaokes, members clubs, this change has been observed by several other long time members as well.
I go China quite often since 2 years ago, I don't post much there because I mostly hunt for non-pro students or office girls in Northern China where I have the best success rates. And I have found a few really nice regulars to keep me occupied during my trips. And I also monger for pros sometimes in Zuhai, Dongguang, Changping in southern Canton, but there are so many great posts already by China experts and are very helpful already.
To my own experiences, I think the southern China pay scene at this moment is winning over some of the traditional monger powers like Thailand, Filippines, Cambodia, ect in quality/price performance and in selection. I reveal my personal obervation for others as reference when they are comparing and choosing the next destinations in Asia.

never trust a cabbie, dude, this was strange
The cabbies will try to take you to a place that gives them a commission, and that is often a dump. If you see tour busses in the MP parking lot it usually means a Chinese tour group is there with all the good ones upstairs. When you get to BKK you have to hit the ground running. If you get good booty on arrival you set precident. If you strike out your trip could be jinxed. The bangkok tonight website has maps of all the sudzy joints, but never trust a cabbie or took-took to take you there although a took took dude took me to j-1 and I had a good experience. The second time I want to J-1 the pappasan hooked me up with the prettiest one, that had a huge natural rack and she was horrid. There is so much fine booty in Bkk, and they don't care what you look like at the sudsy massage places. When you strike out, the skankier ones can see the desperation in your eyes and they will hook you and chump you silly. If there is no booty, just wait until the next day and hit the sudzy places in the afternoon before they get busy. Once you get superior satisfaction, you will get the self confidance up. I did have one bad experience years back in BKK as I was there on Friday the 13th. The Seik Tailors at a shop warned me to be careful that night and told me that that date was jinxy in all cultures. Strange stuff happened that night. Every single girl I hooked up with was either methed out, a Lady Boy or just plain strange. Scarcity of cutie in Thailand confirmed again
I spent a few days here for a transit flight to Egypt around Chrismas. Have not been in BKK for quite a long while so I was expecting to get some nice Thai cuties. But again the sex scene in general is disappointing.
I spent about 1 whole days going around many soapies looking for a nice cutie with nice figure. After hunting in so many countries with gorgeous stunners, I don't like to compromise on a short stay. I started from Petburi from 4 PM, checking out Avita, Nancy, Meree, Bangkok Cosy, Riviera, each place I sat down for sometimes ordering some drinks and foods to carefully select a cutie, but after all these shops and 4 hours later I still could not find a nice cutie with sexy figure in the whole Petburi areas. So I was again disappointed in the scarecity of cuties in Thailand these days.
Moved to Ratchda areas, started from my most dislike Nataree, which is notorious for the worst room in Thailand, but has good selections most of the times. There were about 20 sideliners cost from 2200-3000 and another 15 fish tank body massage girls. There was only a girl at 3000 bahts that I consider worth doing but nowhere nearly the super cutie level. The shop was really crowded with groups of Chinese. Koreans ect. When I was about to call this 3000 baht semi-cutie, someone else called her already. So I decided to moved on to Poseidon.
Entered the shop at about 10PM, the place was packed like sardines in the second floor with almost no girls on display. The papasan told me all working so I walked to the back to another shop. I think its called Copacabana. There were only 3 very so so sidelines at 3000 each and a few unattractive ones in the fish tank.
By this time I was getting tired of the search and decided to go to CM2 at Novotel Siam to end the night. Was there about midnight and lots of workers there. I searched into the darkness and talked to a few potentials and these girls are trying to win a big lottery by asking at least 3k to 5k ST. They are not even cuties in my eyes. I was a bit disappointed that Thailand has become so hard to get a nice cutie, compared to recent years that I have also conqured the China scenes and the over abundance and availability of stunners there.
For the finale I left CM2 and check out the Siam Hotel scene. Most of the girls have moved to the back of the hotel along the railroad track. Must have about one hundred girls all along the railroad track. There were some cuties but no one was cheerful and friendly. Still this is a very Thai place. I finally find a so so semi cutie under the tree at the hotel parking lot with papasan managers all around. I paid the papasan 1500 ST and the girl only wanted to go ST at the Siam Hotel. Another 500 for ST.
The girl was somewhat cute, nowhere near super, and with no tits so I was little turned down already. The sex was very mechanical. Covered BJ and emotionless intercourse ended my night after only about 30 min of dullness.
Again I was disppointed at BKK scenes again on the quality and selection on this trip. My mind was still lingering in China with litearally hundreds of beautiful girls in each the saunas and KTVs to overwhelm your eye sights. Apparently this doesn't happen in the Thai secens any more.

Monday
Monday was another write off. Determined not to play the heat stroke card again I started using taxis. I took one to the Prince hotel and had the driver drop me off at the lobby. All the time that I am in the car, the driver keeps pushing Cupididy. Are you sure you don’t want to go to Cupididy was the question he must asked about 15 times. I assured him no. I check my wallet and ask if they take cards. To which he replies a 10% surcharge will be levied. That was it I had enough and left for the evening. Too bad there were a couple of potentials there. Dissatisfied I walked into, I think it was called Empire, massage. As expected only 5’s 6’s were there so I decided to keep my money and left.
Tuesday- The final day
As you can imagine I was pretty desperate by now. This was my final day in the much hyped up Bangkok and I really had not gotten my fill. I was determined to use the lessons of the past to my advantage. To begin with I was going to find a MP that was open in morning so that if it was a dud I would have another shot at night. Scouring through the board Tulip was mentioned in a couple of postings. Having decided for this place I arrived there at 10:30 am and discovered that the place does not open until 11:00 am. Sunday
Having had a bummer Saturday, I was getting depravation pains. For God’s sake this was Bangkok, a man should not have these kinds of days. Little did I know I was about to be taught another important lesson on this day. This was New Years eve and I wanted to get what I needed and then hit the parties.
As Angels was sighted quite a few times, I decided on this MP and off I went. After getting off the BTS I spent an hour in the hot sun looking for this SOI. I finally found the place at about 3:00 PM. The hostess tells me to look at the photo album and choose. Almost every selection I wanted was busy. I was told to wait half an hour and someone will be freed. It is interesting to note that not all girls will go out with farangs. I was told this by the hostess about one of my selections. saturday
i decided to experience the bj bar called [CodeWord901]’s off the nana plaza area. this was a bit of a disappointment. i got there a at 1:30 pm and only saw 5’s 6’s and one 7. one of the 6’s approached me to go upstairs but i just did not think she was my type and so i declined hoping some better talent would show up. the only 7 was getting busy with a client next to me. i could tell as she would giggle every time the guys hand would disappear under her skirt. kinky kinky , that much i have to admit. i hung around for about 1 hour and then left . too bad , i really had high hopes.

Homeless and Livingstones
Well, the movers came yesterday afternoon, packed up all my stuff, and I suddenly found myself homeless. "No problem, I thought - I'll just call Livingstones".
So, after more than a year of maintaining an apartment in Bangkok, and being a semi-regular visitor of the Sports Bar and benefactor of Giotto's famous hospitality, I finally stayed at Livingstones Lodge on Sukhumvit Soi 33.
Being that my TGF was in attendance, the festivities were somewhat ah, limited. However, I had a "deluxe" room, which was spacious, clean, and was stocked with 3 sets of bath towels (nudge, nudge, Thor93) to service the jacuzzi/spa thingie that looked like it was designed for two, but could fit 4. Or 6, depending on how cozy one wanted to be.
Alas, it had been a very long and busy day, and we chose to retire to the comfy bed rather than engage in water activities (but I should've asked if down pillows were available - foam pillows just don't work for me).
TGF couldn't figure out the spa plumbing anyway (what is it about TGs: they just can't seem to handle more than one water spigot!). I couldn't quite get why the bathroom floor had 6 levels, tho (OK, it was only 3, but I found one on my way to the toilet late at night).
Oh, and Piper, you'll be happy to know my 5:30am wake up call was only a couple minutes late. ;^)
All-in-all, a good place to stay at a reasonable price, and highly recommended. I'll be staying there when I can get back to BKK. The late-night giggling adds to the atmosphere, for sure! ;^)
In the meantime, I'm trying to keep a stiff upper lip, since I haven't seen much in the UK to make other body parts stiff (well, OK, I exagerate slightly, but not whole lot.)
