.
When did you land? The 2nd test in the Test & Go scheme was introduced the same day they shut down the Test & Go server.

That should identify travelers who caught COVID during their flights to Thailand. After your negative entry PCR test, you will be allowed to go wherever you please, but you need to define where you will be on day 5-6 so the follow up PCR test can be arranged.

Mogwai is correct. My post was not clear on that point.
Unless you already have your QR code, the current policy makes the 7-day Phuket Sandbox the only reasonable way to enter Thailand.

As far as I have understood the new rules, you have to stay in quarantine for 7 days (if you're fully vaccinated) or 10 days (if you're not vaccinated). Even if your entry PCR test is negative.
The only exception is the Phuket Sandbox.
As of December 22 you can only apply for alternative quarantine or the Phuket Sandbox. You cannot apply for Test & Go anymore.
So this means at least 7 days of quarantine if you want to go to Bangkok or Pattaya directly.

So now even vaccinated in quarantine??I thought they wanted to help the travel and tourist industry, not like this. On a 2 week break I'm certainly not going to waste of week of it in quarantine and allot of others won't either. Looks like I got the shot for nothing.

I tried to go shopping, but the baht busses were all completely filled, so I gave up. Yeah, Pattaya is busy now.

Yes, that is correct. The test and go and all sandbox programs except Phuket have been suspended until January 4. They will make an announcement on Jan 4 as to whether the program will restart or remained suspended. Most people are resigned for the suspension to continue until there is a clear outcome on Omnicron cases.
The people that applied and received their Thai Pass can still enter under the test and go program or sandbox programs around the country.

I went to Soi Chaiyapoon and TreeTown last night, quite busy.
The scene looks partially recovered already. I don't know what's going to happen when MicroCovid hits, the bars will probably close again.
Yes the place was hopping, traffic is just like it has always been. A bottleneck. Noticed lots of tourists walking around without a mask, wonder how long that will be acceptable. Stopped by Prime Burger and had one of their smash burgers. Absolutely fantastic. Also amazed to see the manager and the hostess walking around without masks on as well.
On a side note. Its happened many times here. Saw a girl from Thai Friendly who listed herself as 5'4 and in walks this tiny waif of a girl. Get things going and she's just super tiny, she pulls out a condom and puts it on me and rolls it down barely 2 inches and spreads her legs. No attempt to roll it all of the way down. My guess is she's new to the scene and has never used a condom before. Has happened many times overseas for me.

3 days of pool villa fun start today.
Today, I put my ex-girlfriend's twin sister in charge of recruiting the ladies. My job is to bring stuff for 3 days of parties, including tequila.
Tomorrow, her twin sister is in charge, and on the third day, I put a Mamasan in charge to recruit ladies. She has a bunch of Soi 6 types on her list.

Omicron
Data is suggesting you are around 75% less likely to be hospitalised if you get Omnicron V Delta. And when hospitilzied your chance of being put into ICU is very small.

Omicron
Your comments are a broad general observation that it "does not make anyone really sick" (Omicron). A quick review of the Bangkok Post from yesterday reveals two new cases found in Chiang Mai of two tourists, one who ended up hospitalized, the other who experienced severe fatigue. Neither cases were detected in the test and go program. Now they are trying to track down their innumerable contacts of which there are many since they flew on separate flights to Chiang Mai from Bangkok. It may not kill you — if you are fully vaccinated — but it certainly can put you in the hospital.

I have no idea how bad Covid-19 is in Pattaya now. All I know is that it is impacting which ladies are available for barfining, for me.
Last night, I had 4 ladies ask to come to my place, because they aren't working, due to Covid quarantine. I passed on that tempting offer.
I also don't know what flavor of Covid is being spread. I suspect that it's Omicron, and that the cheap test kits can't detect it. And it doesn't make anyone really sick.

Just logged in and unfortunately not much in the way of Thailand or any other places that have a lot better bang for your buck. Thanks for the info!

A shame about the pricing but it's usually not too hard to figure out what range they will be in.

Wow that is good news. I just read up and you are right it looks like they just blocked access to people in the US for a year or so but it's back up now. I will have to check it out again! Thanks for the info! Been awhile since I wanted to use it and then when I wanted to it was down.
