How long have you been traveling? Where have you been? When was the last time you lived outside of your country of origin? When was the last time you were in LATAM? When was the last time you were in Thailand?

I've been going to Pattaya for like 20 years now but haven't been to Pattaya for over a year.

Last time I went I wouldn't say the facial attractivness had changed too much over the years but the amount of tattoos (mostly bad ones) has exponentially increased along with the average waistline of the girls, the prices have obviously gone up but the service of the girls, inside and outside of the bedroom, has gone down quite a bit too. There's also been an increase in those stupid painted on eyebrows too but that applies pretty much everywhere in the world now.

That's not to say you still can't have a great time there though. It's still probably the best mongering destination overall due to atmosphere, safety, choice etc but if you want great sex with attractive girls it's hard to find. Personally I'm going to split my holidays between Brazil and Pattaya for the best of both worlds.

I think the main point is not the cost. Everyone understands inflation. McDonalds meal could be had for $1. 99. Now its like 10 bucks. But WHAT they are serving is more or less the same thing. Consistent burgers and service. You know what you are paying for.

There has not been any inflation in Thailand that justyfies price increases of 50-100%. And the prices asked in the tourist sector is not always the prices asked from the own population. You really think thai men are paying 35 year olds 1500 for a 30 minute fuck?

You are making a point that is valid throughout the entire world. In every country there is a tourist economy and a local economy. You have to be a very special person to get a local price as a tourist. Half the time it requires no more than knowing how much the locals are paying and refusing to pay more. During low season that is very easy in Pattaya. During high season not so much. Simple supply and demand, the most basic market dynamics at work (Econ 101) or just google it.

In the places where I have established myself as a local I am not paying what tourists pay either. So, if you are doing the same as I do, then why do you care what the tourists are paying? I know I don't.

Pro Tip: Stay focused on the deal and not the girl; be willing to say no; you are more likely to hit the price point that you seek.

I've never tried them, but they're easy to find. There's a number of bars / clubs right on Walking Street. Just walk by or zoom in on Google Maps on WS and search for "Russian". Generally speaking, (almost) all the white women on WS are from former Soviet Union countries, especially Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan etc.), but ethnically Russian / Slavic. On Thai Friendly I have been also contacted by a few, white-looking and often with "RU" (capital letters) in their user ID.

Amongst the farang, and those resident in Pattaya in particular, "Russian" girls especially on WS are infamous as a scam. That's what I heard. Supposedly, the declared prices are very high, at pay-up time turn out to be double and there's always enough security men to convince you paying everything in full on the spot is your only option. Being white, I never felt compelled to verify those stories. I could try "white" or "very expensive" in Pattaya, but never both at the same time.
