This became a common problem for me in Samui, a cluster of about 3 bars were doing the same thing. I cut a verbal deal with girl and get ready to pay bar fine. Then mamasan (sometimes same person as bar manager and bartender) changes the deal. More money for girl. Bigger bar fine. 2 hours agreed with girl gets reduced to 45 minutes. Must buy several drinks before leaving. Cannot leave until 01:00.

Whenever I get the first change order from mamasan, I pay my bill for prior purchases and leave the bar. Sometimes the girl will try to stop me. Once in AoNang the girl followed me out the bar and came to my room.

Those bars were all tiny places where 75% of the girls were unappealing. The mamasans have been a pain in the ass. On the other hand, sometimes mamasans at go go bars with many attractive girls can make good suggestions and they earn the tips that I give.

Why bring a co-worker in the negotiations? She will always side with the girl anyway, or worse, she might tell the girl she is killing their market by accepting so low fare.

Yes, this very much. The price is 1000 for the girl. Plus something for the room. They will ask for more but just offer the 1000 and they know you understand the situation and will agree to it. They will of course try to say more, but after you say 1000 once or twice they will agree and everything is set without issue.

A few girls are doing this but not all, mostly the unattractive ones, girls that doesn't get many customers, girls that just arrived who are cute but yet don't have regular customers (and cannot speak English).

I've met many girls who didn't want to negociate at all and they knew I'm not a newbie. I've had a few sessions canceled just because of that (I was ready to bring them upstairs but the fact they were firm with their prices put me off).

I feel like 1 K is not the standard price anymore, it's just the starting price. Maybe most girls are still willing to go for that price, but more than 80% of the girls in that soi are unattractive anyway, so it means nothing.

I would not recommend going to the room without agreeing on the price first. Some girls, especially in the Nightwish bars and the ones at the Beach road end of the soi are firm on Baht 1500 or even 2000.

Doing a session with one of these girls and giving her 1000 Baht after the session could cause you a problem. It is better to tell a girl you pay 1000 and let her decide if she wants to accept that.
