No shit, I'd get pretty bored even I just got given money to stay home all the time (it's not like they're millionaires). I think the best chances of a successful "sponsorship" are to get your girl to move away from temptation, to her home back in the country; Or at least send her to finish school / start college. In the Central mall. Level 6, there's actually a few there. 339 baht for 1 hour 15 minutes of eating glory. Haha.

My trip (week long) to Pattaya.

Day 1.

Thought I'd give a Soapy a go. Tried one of the Sabais (the one on 2nd road on the Northbound side). Damage 2500 baht. SOP, not a great deal of enthusiasm, but you expect a great deal in these places as rapport building isn't exactly easy to do.

Thought about retiring afterwards (having spent the better part of the day travelling from Jakarta) , but figured hey, let's explore. Ended up in the first set of beer bars in Walking Street. Pulled a girl, minimal English. Very young. 20? BF 300, LT 1500. Very wet in the morning (oh my, my sheets were stained!)

Day 2.

Went through iBar, Insomnia, on to Lucifers. Ended up chatting to a girl who apparently has been in Pattaya 8 years now and is the age of 31 (no exit plan it would seem). Anyway, got on fantastically well, back to Insomnia at something like 3. At about 4.30 I ask to go back as I'm stuffed. Very good GFE. Exchange numbers, toss up whether to repeat later on.

Day 3.

Received phone calls x 2 from girl from above. Didn't reply, as per my previous post, disaster that occured with girl from Alcatraz and alcohol-induced near miss with a ladyboy.

Everything fine, get to hotel room,"can I go at 6". Errr no honey, you agreed to 10."I want to go now". No explanation given. Spend 45 mins, including use of google translate to get point across. 3 options are presented, you stay to 10 for 3k, you go at 6 for 2k OR you go now, and I get my BF back in the morning. She reluctanty agrees to ST. I tell her "you probably thing I'm some sort of horrible person" to which she says "a little.".

At the end of the day, I don't want to cause too much trouble hence why I offered her the option of ST. You want 3k to leave at 6? Err. You agreed on something different and I could get you into a lot of trouble. Tell her off. 'don't agree to something you don't want to do. ' Clearly doesn't register with some of these girls (and this seems to transgress international borders, the 'changing of mind' once in the room).

Day 5.

Give Devil's Den ago, girls are ok looking enough. Initial pick is a girl from the L of the yellow line (no anal) , but she chooses a girl from the R. 3 pops including anal with the second girl. Overall impressions of Pattaya.

Lots of poon to be had, depending how much, or little you want to spend. Plenty of stunners in the Gogos, but lots of very very quiet bars (well, it is low season).

Agree that Baccara has the best girls, but it's a zoo. Sensations also is teeming with girls. Re. LK Metro, not as attractive, but few places open early (around 2-3pm). Interestingly, one of the girls told me there's a 2-8pm shift, wonder what they do after if they don't get BF?

Would I return? Probably, do like the resort-esque nature (as opposed to Angeles) , English proficiency can be patchy. And I know it's been asked / discussed before, but why so many Russians? I didn't see this many in Phuket.

I know of him and I've walked past him on BR a few times. I never had a reason to talk to him. If anyone has questions you seriously want me to ask him (eg you want to hire him to protect your Thai lady) , let me know. If I run in to him when I'm there in Nov I can ask him on your behalf.

1) Talking to BM Eamonn (a friend of Sharky's and an acquaintance of mine) :

- Sharky's a nice guy, easy to talk to.

- He loves to work out (that's how him and Eamonn started chatting, it was at their Pattaya gym).

2) A discussion thread on another forum, BMs said that:

- Sharky's a nice guy, easy to talk to.

- Supposedly he was a loan shark back in Australia.

- He claims working girls give him protection money but the number of claimed clients (100? Or whatever) and his protection price seems too high.

Example: if he's getting B 500 (US $17) per week x 100 clients = B 50, 000 / week ($1, 700 / week). Hard to believe he's getting B 20, 000+ per month ($6, 800+/mo). Even 1/4th that would be hard to imagine.

- Hard to believe that WGs would pay a Sharky / any foreigner protection money when they could get Thai guys / boyfriends to perform the same function, probably for less money. Or, on an as needed basis (eg instead of weekly protection payments just a one time fee for some Thai guys to teach the abusive / bad customer a lesson).

Ok. If you think 2000 is appropriate, that's fine. But I find that when any freelancer quotes over 1000 for short time, its a virtual guarantee of a bad experience, bad attitude, poor service, etc.

Two years ago both SuperBaby and SuperGirl on Soi Diamond strictly enforced a no smoking policy; there were no ashtrays and guys who came in with a cigarette burning were escorted off the premises. It was great then because there were lots of young cuties and the air didn't stink with smoke. Sadly, they changed the policy to allow smoking to attract more Asian customers and it has seemed to work as in my estimation 90% of them smoke like forest fires.

I'm sure the Japanese and Chinese smokers would happily pay a 100 baht fee for an ashtray. The only way to enforce the law IMHO is for the cops to fine the bar owners 10, 000 for each violation. That would get their attention and they would no longer furnish ashtrays to the addicts. In the meantime, I'd settle for no smoking areas but the powers to be just don't seem to care about non-smokers.

There was this new technology wherein cigarette is electronic, flavored with different taste. It has a real smoke coming from your mouth upon sipping it, less pollution I think. Is it also prohibited?

Renovation, they opened "Fun House" agogo on the other end of LK Metro. The girls are at the Fun House now. Across from Sugar Sugar where Blue [Blu? ] used to be. I thought they put a sign up at Champagne, surprised it wasn't there.

Smokers in bars: I thought the whole point of the local business regulations was to give better tea money negotiation leverage. I don't think I've ever seen a gogo enforce no-smoking in Thailand. I just can't see it happening. Although, Perhaps we could convince a entrepreneur to install a 100B smoking fee / ashtray free.

I ended up at Oasis and was disappointed at the poor lineup of average to below average looking girls. Buakhao just doesn't measure up to the quality you can find on Walking Street so that's were I went and wasn't disappointed. The line up at Happy has vastly improved over last year and the girls at Baccara are always the best looking on average.

Now if only all the joints would start enforcing the Thai laws against the smokers who swarm like locusts in enclosed bars, I'd be perfectly happy.
