I was there shortly after 1 pm and it was maybe 30% full. So it didn't fill up at all. What happened to the high season?

Bad news is it was dog city today. This may have already been reported but I would bet a session that there is a ladyboy or two working at Redpoint. I'm talking the obvious ugly variety too. If it's not a ladyboy it's one of the ugliest girls I've seen in Thailand. I only saw 1 single girl who appealed to me and she worked at Mod's Bar. However, since I remember how much of a dud she was with FL Hawk in and out of the room I decided to skip her today and head over to the soapies. It was only around 4:15 and I knew I was early but was really killing time until the gogo bars open later. Sabai Dee and Sabai Room didn't have anyone special. I could have settled for a couple at Honey 2 but I don't like to settle so I'll wait til I hit the gogo bars tonight. If I feel up to it may hit the Thai bars as well.

I told you that shit was negotiable. Most people report a price of 1000 baht on Soi 6. I say that I always negotiate 700 baht. It appears chicks are now negotiating to 1200 baht. I guess soon that will be the "normal" price.

Agreed. Hooker girls are with guys for economic reasons. Being a permanent couple is not absolutely impossible, however you need to live with a girl full time for 2 years at least to really start to know her. If part time, then increase the years accordingly.

The quick "love" thing is bullshit. Real love comes very slowly over a very long time. Quick "love" disappears very quick too, due to a single minor incident.

I have known my Thai GF for 13 years part time. Has very low English skills, but can read (without knowing the meaning) and listens to western songs. She has changed a lot. I know a number of people who have married bargirls and are in happy relationships.

I know a guy that did that. He's multi-skilled and makes some money working online, which is the best choice as long one keeps quiet about it. They seems to be happy and all, but the wife came with one or two kids, now since he's a generous guy he doesn't mind providing for all. Being married you only have to deposit THB 400,000 for an one year-permit (plus taxing paperwork), that was probably the main reason why he did that. If they wanted to divorce that's simple, a spouse can attack only assets acquired after marriage. I have no preconception about loving and living with a former prostitute and not even with an active one, but the whole package of her being mature with kids, the wedding, living in Pattaya, etc would have been too much for me to digest.

Sorry if you did not like my post. All 100% true. We planned trip for a year. My buddy wanted to take a private taxi which was expensive. The notes I had taken down from research said to go to bus station. Which didn't make sense when we got there. My favorite show is 90 Day Fiance. I don't know if they do this on purpose or if the real demographic is truly as such. But in the show, when a male American goes overseas and brings back a chick to marry, 9.9 times out of 10 he does not have shit to his name. It is never a guy that is firmly established and has something going for himself. He will live with his mother or father or roommates, or in a small ass poorly furnished apartment. He will have a raggedy ass car, or have to share a car with his parent, or have to borrow a car. He will generally be considered a square or nerd or somebody that would have a hard time picking up women, or may be too timid or lack the aggressiveness to try. He might be a hopeless romantic and let the woman run over him because he is afraid to lose her.
