They will approach guys who they see are buying lady drinks for girls. Not sure why you think it's a rip off. You bought 2 shots so not sure why you expected not to pay for them. I'm not aware of any bar in the world that offer 2 free tequila shots if you buy 1 drink for a girl. Personally I have never bought a shooter from one of these girls. Gogo prices are not the same as a regular bar. 4200ST in a Walking Street gogo bar is cheaper than what it was pre-COVID. You are actually getting a discount. The 1200 BF is not negotiable. The 3000 to the girl is. She will drop the price if she likes you and you don't look or act rich. Yes you may be able to find cheaper girls elsewhere but for me it's about getting the best looking girl.

The US has to put that advisory because Thailand still has plenty of daily cases. Personally if I came I'd just go to Pattaya. While BKK has some lookers mask wearing is stricter and there isn't such a party atmosphere as many places are still closed. Whereas if you're at Treetown in Pattaya its probably busier than pre pandemic (because so much action moved to that area).

Today there was 20 k+ cases discovered and 80 covid deaths. I can't imagine Thailand closing everything again unless there was a more deadly strain that shows up, which is very very unlikely.

Self test is easy, not a big deal.

Omicron is not a big deal in Thailand if you are fully vaccinated.

As for the day 5 test, I got the hotel's WhatsApp number to use for communication about the lab results. When I did the day 5 test, I sent the hotel a photo of the results.

It does not sound like a ripoff as much as it sounds like you not knowing what goes on in clubs these days. What you describe is a shooter girl. They usually go around the club carrying bottles or shots on a tray or in a holder for impulse buying.
