Are the bars in Ban Chang open yet?

They've been open for some time now. I went yesterday. I've been going off and on for over a month. More bars have opened this week, and there are more ladies. But the quality of the ladies is lacking. Falang bar has some younger talent, but they're more interested in getting LD's and don't allow much hands on. Another bar is full of Old out of shape ladies. (They're not MILF's. !

I would say there's a handful of decent looking ladies in the bars there. I keep returning, hopeful, that each trip gets better. Also all the bars look like they're closed. (Shutters down.) Just knock / ring the door bell. Sometimes the ladies are sitting outside.

Dec 16th was suppose to be the day All bars opened, but the Chonburi governor ordered yesterday, the 16th: "Bars, pubs, karaokes, nightclubs, entertainment venues, soapies, essentially the entire nighttime economy is still legally and officially closed. " Supposedly, the Chonburi police went around yesterday an told bars to remain closed. However, walking around last night, the bars that had opened the night before were open. Tree Town and the Buahkao area was hopping!

Also supposedly, there is an unofficial agreement with bars / entertainment industry and the city (and the maybe the province,) to allow the bars to open, as long as they look like restaurants. The Governors order may be a face saving gesture to the CCSA. The next few days may be interesting as the Bangkok and Chonburi police can come to Pattaya and raid places.

The next Date that has been mentioned for nationwide bar opening is Jan 16th, IIRC. These dates that are mentioned by government officials, even Prayut, are not set in stone.

How is Pattaya overall going now? I read online that there was a meeting to get the nightlife venues open before new years.

Also are the markets open? If you are lucky you can literally pick up some of the cute girls who man some of the stalls. They always talk to you if you are close to their stall anyways looking for a deal and once they talk to you, you work your magic.

You could also add thay Pattaya is a much more 1 dimensional city than Phuket and BKK. The main activity in Pattaya is mongering, and the majority of guys are just scraping buy. Sure there are some guys with cash. Lots of cash, but the majority are guys hanging up on Soi Buakhao who probably cannot afford the gogos in Walking St.

There are the other many things to do in Bangkok and Phuket. So they tend to draw a much greater diversity of people than the typical Pattaya sterotype that will sit in a beer bar on Buakhao all day.

Yes, if you want a general holiday, Pattaya is not so great.

If you want ladies, Pattaya is pretty good right now.

No, I'm not in Pattaya, but I have been many many many times.

I actively choose not to be there, tho occasionally visit.

What facts do I base my opinion on?

Well how about first hand knowledge, from visits, from talking with working girls and punters that are friends and live there, and also bar owners.

Also from reading comments in many a forum by punters heading there, and bemoaning the covid era changes.

Lastly, its a generalization as a comment.

Of course not all Pattaya visitors are cheap charlies, but it has always been the case that such punters headed there in far higher numbers than anywhere else in Thailand.

And they still head there in greater numbers than they do elsewhere now that Thailand is reopening.

I look forward to your arguments and facts in rebuttal.

I get ladies who drink with me telling stories about customers, and the most common are customers who don't fuck. I suspect that few guys don't close the deal with their barfines. On rare occasions, I will have a platonic barfine, but I tell them up front.

I don't remember a lady ever refusing to fuck on a bar fine. I have had ladies decline to go, but once I pay the bar for their exit, they are going to get fucked. Have I been so drunk that I couldn't get it up? I don't remember, but I am pretty sure If I pay the barfine, I get my money's worth. It's a different story if they come over outside of the bar environment, then sometimes I avoid sex for various reasons. I had a lady on top of me a couple of months ago, wanting to get creampied, but I cockblocked her, as I had a bad feeling about her. She's pregnant now.

Gogo bars used to be my favorites, as I always thought they had the best looking girls. I am one big sucker for eye candy. But I was surprised to see the price rise over the past 10 years or so. I rarely go there anymore.

My guess is that the influx of Chinese and Korean mongers probably caused the inflated pricing. I am now mostly into street girls and soapies / massage parlors.

Yeah, I am sure increased demand and showoff loose spending habits had something to do with the 1500 bt increase in Go Go girl's ST ask over the last 10 years. I still liked (pre Covid) a handful of the better Go Go's because they each always had a couple of good looking girls and I knew how to choose the right. Thus I never let the Go Go pricing prevent me from having a good time even though I knew the price inflation was outrageous.

There were some Olies that had what I like and they were / are great, but I go the oily route for afternoon diversions only. Evenings I prefer to set aside for Go Go's, Bars, and Clubs. Sadly the vast majority of SW's are not good looking enough for my tastes, but that does not stop me from looking and occasionally I find a gem.

Soapies have been in a slow decline for the last 10 or 12 years. Pre Covid 2019 there were only 2 soapies that I still liked and I don't know if they are going to survive or not, but I will tell you one thing, assuming you like eye candy as much as I like eye candy; the Soapies were not cheap. Sideline soapie girls began at 5,000 bt and prices could go all the way to 10,000 bt and higher. The most expensive sideline girls were usually not the best looking, thank Buddha, but I could easily spend 5 or 6 thousand bt on a sideline girl in one of my remaining favorite Soapies if the girl caught my eye. Service was usually very good to outstanding.

Ah, the good old days. I have a lot of memories.

Big panic yesterday, a bar on Soi Buakhow was raised, and the staff taken to the monkey house. Within a few hours, Brown envelopes were shared, the ladies released, and the bar was open again.

I had a Mamasan over for drinks last night, and she shared bar horror stories, both from the lady and the customer perspective. Lots of bad customers out there. Also, some bar girls fall in love with customers, but have many customers. So they are always in love.

Last thought: if you even think about sponsoring a bar girl, make sure you look at her Facebook account. Lots of guys only interact with ladies via LINE or email. If you don't see her Facebook, you have zero idea what she is doing. I took a lady to Phuket last week, and she got calls from a sponsor. I like the casual getting to know a girl in a beer bar. Play some games and a little casual groping. You can tell if she going to be a fun affectionate lay. Money matters to me too. My points exactly. You can really learn about how a beer bar girl is going to be by spending time to get to know her. Though there was that one night I was fingering a go-go girl while sitting at the stage-side seats at Champagne Bar in LK Metro; she didn't seem to mind and we were spending way too much money on shots. I never did bar fine her. In my 15 visits or so to Thailand, I have only bar fined one go-go girl. What facts do you base your oppinion on? Are you even in Pattaya? Such generalization is simply ridiculous and no explanation for the present shortage of girls here. The situation is a lot more complex than that.

How many Asian tourists you see walking the mean streets of Pattaya.
