Well, not exactly that everyone there is ugly. I just have not seen an available, unattached girl anywhere in Pattaya, including regular girls working in Central Festival or other malls, that would rate above a Bkk 6 in the 4-5 trips I have made there over the past five years with the extremely rare exception of a handful of supposedly Pattaya "Super Stars" in a couple of WS go-go bars.

Yes, I am sure I could negotiate a BBFS with many of the girls I have seen in Pattaya, the ones on Soi 6 and Walking Street included (not a Tinder user anymore). But the trick is to combine that with a girl of at least the level of attractiveness that I can so much more easily arrange in Bkk without the 2-3 hour travel time each way and renting a hotel room.

Perhaps even worse, though, has been the notable lack of even moderately attractive women in Pattaya capable of or willing to provide (for me, that is) a Bkk standard quality BBBJ+CIM. In my case, living in Bkk as I do, by the time I have paid for the travel to and from Pattaya and the hotel room for a couple of nights, those cheaper prices of 1K here or 1K there wind up costing me a lot more than what a much better experience with a much better looking girl would cost me right around the corner from my apartment in Bkk. And Tinder works here, too, for those who are into Tinder. I am not.

I would say that overall the "regular" gals in BKK are far superior to those in Pattaya, very true. The other advantage that Soi 6 has in my opinion is that it is still "fun. " All aspects of the BKK P4 P scene are sorely lacking in the fun factor. BKK P4 P for me is pretty much the oilies. Since I have a 10 year plus live-in I don't get gals numbers and don't engage in any online in BKK. I certainly wish we had a Soi 6 style area in BKK. The GoGos and believe it or not, Thermae, used to be a hell of a lot of fun. Not anymore.

Great report! And encouraging, since my 4-5 trips to Pattaya over the past 5 years or so have not been worth the 115 baht bus fare from Bangkok, much less a 1,200+ baht taxi ride. However, I notice among the many positive attributes you applied to the girls in Pattaya, the words "pretty, good-looking, attractive" were not among them except for pics on Tinder. And, although you didn't get into graphic details but only about a party/sexy vibe, the near impossibility for me to find an attractive girl capable of delivering a decent BBBJ+CIM and/or up for a round of BBFS in Pattaya is what had me high-tailing it back to my beloved Bangkok as quickly as possible for some Real GFE sex with good looking women every time.

Did you encounter anything noticeably positive on those, to me, very important fronts during this Pattaya visit? If so, where? Because I sure haven't lately.

Have a friend that has lived in Pattaya for years now. He is a BBFS aficionado. He has no problem negotiating that on Tinder and when he is at Soi 6. For him a condom is a deal killer. He pointed out quite a few when we were on 6 together. Might cost you an extra 200 Baht though. He always negotiates that up front. I would also imagine if you had the patience for the discos you might do well there. Just not my scene.

Another real bonus in Pattaya is the cheap good farang food. My diet is mainly Asian, but occasionally a good bangers and mash is nice.

Been awhile, almost half a year since I have been to the beach, and yes, parts are still fun; in fact, way more fun that BKK. Even at this time of year (I was there last weekend), it is not heaving with punters. Yes, there are lots of Chinese tour groups and other unsavoury demographics about, but I am happy to report that Soi 6 is still about the most fun you can have in LOS. It's full of under 25 gals, many without babies, free of plastic surgery, scantily clad, with nasty sexy attitudes, fun loving, and for 1 k ST, yours for a time. Just great compared with any other scene in Thailand these days.

Online scene is also excellent, with Tinder being the app of choice for good looking gals for 1 k ST.

Had to laugh at many of the high end GoGos. Places like Sensations are filled with gruff ill-humored Koreans smoking copious amounts of cigarettes and getting milked to death for drinks by the most mercenary of gals, most of whom are at least 5 kilos or more overweight and appear to have had their plastic surgery done in a butcher shop. Jeez, it's a horror show. And there are dudes paying big money for this? What a laugh. Can still have fun in places like Dollhouse and Electric Blue, although one is still facing very high prices IMHO.

Discos like IBar were also pretty awful. Aside from the awful pop music, they are heaving with young dudes dressed in ridiculous faux hip hop garb and other dudes 'roided our to the max and prancing around like fools in their tank tops, looking for a freebie in order to prove their manhood. FFS, these are the folks we moved 10 k miles to get away from; now they are over here in droves. Certainly makes me yearn for the Pattaya of old when it was pretty much all like minded Western and Japanese mongers.

Of course hotels are still a great bargain, even at holiday time, and farang food is a steal in Patters. Highway is finished so the ride down took only 2 hrs. With Soi 6 still rocking and so many gals available on Tinder et al for 1 k ST, Patters wins over BKK when it comes to gals. Now if it could just shed the human detritus.

I found that I had search a bit harder, but Soi 6 still had some great girls.

Personally I like the Discos best, but they can be a bit of a sausage fest.

Dusit Pattaya is not girl friendly.

I am surprised. I had no issues. Neither with Dusit Thani in Pattaya or BKK. Just one at a time with ID and check in.

It's a old Thai hotel chain after all. If they were not. They would have a big problem with their no 1 customer base: Thai Businessmen.

Better check with the hotel. I don't think the Dusit Pattaya is Girl Friendly. I know the former Marriott was GF, but now as the Avani Hotel it is not GF. LK Empress is GF. The Hilton is most definitely GF. Apparently the Hard Rock is GF. The Holiday Inn is GF. And there are many more GF Beach Road Hotels.

Better check with the hotel. I don't think the Dusit Pattaya is Girl Friendly. I know the former Marriott was GF, but now as the Avani Hotel it is not GF. LK Empress is GF. The Hilton is most definitely GF. Apparently the Hard Rock is GF. The Holiday Inn is GF. And there are many more GF Beach Road Hotels.

I have stayed and can recommend the Dusit Thani. It's at the end of beach road, before the turn to Naklua. They have a really nice spa and also good lunch buffets. 5 star prices but the hotel itself due to the location, I think, can be booked for about $100 plus taxes.Which is pretty good for ocean view location and 5/ star service.

Long haul to WS. , but many beer bars around. Unfortunately, unlike many moons ago, beer bars quality these days are quite poor. But if you already have girls or contacts then it's a nice place to hang out in luxury.

It's 4. 5 kms away. I don't see that as a problem as I will typically go for LT taxi shouldn't be too dear from WS.

Other than the Hilton, what's a good hotel with beach views?

Check out Wave Hotel, which is only two blocks away from the Hilton. Boutique style and very nice with extremely friendly service staff. I enjoyed my stay there last year and had a beach view (not sure if you have to request one).
