No doubt the mamasan, having seen you accepted the 500 baht prime for the room, told the girl to increase her price as well.

I don't think I gave any signs of being a newbie neither I am. I liked the girl, talked to her outside and then took her in for a drink. I would have given 200 baht extra for room. I generally don't negotiate on room or barfine costs and take them to be sacrosanct. This was an aberration. I knew that 1000 + 350 was pretty much the price range since last year hence aware that they were asking 200 extra and I was ok.

Issue was that the girl was asking for 50% extra. The room cost was immaterial at that point of time in my decision making process.

I always skip drink and ladydrink in soi6, just stop outside the bar when I see a girl I like, ask some question and if her answer are right I take her upstair for ST.

I have asked this question to many girls over a period of time but never got a convincing answer. My best estimates put it around 30 - 50% of the lady drink cost. I have tried this approach too, not at Soi 6 but at some of the open bars at WS, 2nd Road & Soi 7. I ask for my drink, find a real pretty face and "I barfine you" in less than 10 minutes at the bar. Its not a big deal IMHO.

They get 50 baht from a 150 baht lady drink. Have been told this many times. Also some bars and gogos have a monthly quota system for ladydrink sales. If the individual girl falls short she is fined 50 baht per drink.

What we have all witnessed for the last 20 years is a phenomenon that no matter how high the asking price for girls goes, aggregate demand for pussy either remains the same or even increases. This is economically fucking amazing.

It is indeed amazing. Similar to Oil. Also, the world population is growing fast (although the growth rate has dropped now to 1. 13%) and scores of young men who have never experienced Thailand will keep the demand end taut. Divorce rates are up (EU at 44% Divorce: Marriage, UK at 47% and USA at 53%) which means more lonely middle aged men looking for "true love". Yep, demand is here to stay.

....The problem is no one can predict accurately when the breaking point will occur or how high ST rates will go before it does. I for one will not be surprised if we see 5000 bt for Go Go ST in 5 years. I know - amazing right!

Carrying on from the above points, there is more disposable income in developing nations than ever before. Young men who cannot get laid in their own countries will dish out the asking price willingly. These men can never dream of getting laid with a sexy GoGo chick at even twice the price back home. Hell, there may be no GoGo bars; worse yet, no open P4 P.

But I see the future and predict that by the end of this high season Go Go ST will be moving up to 3000 bt in many popular Go Go's. That's 700bt barfine (in some Agency Go Go's as high as 1500bt) + 3000bt ST + drinks. We live in amazing times.

This is a disturbing trend I have observed over the last 2 seasons and I always insist on doing the negotiations directly with the girl. They have pulled the language card on me a few times before I start to reveal my Thai language capabilities. While some mamasans are really nice, most are greedy fat bitches who will rip off a regular customer without batting an eyelid. Again, possibly demand. Supply economics at play.

Should also consider the downturn in the economies and exchange rate of the major players who visit Thailand (China, Japan, Russia and the euro dropping). What effect will that have on excessive asking prices? 4000 baht is a huge price to pay when you consider the number of girls at the nightclubs who will take 2000, beer bar cuties who jump at 1500. If I really like the girl I'm willing to pay the extra on the first pop but when she comes over again after not making enough money the next night or two I cut that amount down.

It was only a couple of years ago (2013) that I remember the Soi Six price was 700 bt for the girl and 300 bt for the room. Now the price is 1000bt plus 300bt. A thirty percent increase. Many Soi Six regulars protested the rate increase at the time and vowed they would never pay it, but guess what? 1300bt is now pretty much the rate except possibly for a small number of well known ex-pats living in Pattaya.

End of a week and I was out of Pattaya next afternoon, Paid 1000 baht to VR travel guy who was on time and due to some overspeeding got me to Suvarnambhumi in an hour and half, much before my scheduled flight time. God damn that Nissan GTR which overtook him and got his balls on fire in the camry. 555.

Every time I've gone with a girl on soi 6 it was 300 for the room and 1000 towards the girl. Don't think I've ever read someone only posting they paid 1000 baht for both the room and the girl.

November 14 (Day 7: Saturday)

Evening: Soi 6

I had been lucky and enjoyed two great evenings at soi 6 and hence was eager to return on my last evening as well.

Dolls Bar:

This was the first bar I got into after chatting with a cutie sitting outside. She was happy to join me inside. They have a good setup with seating area and dance poles for each area. Buyer's remorse hit me as there were few hot ones already inside dancing in front of their customers. Nonetheless drinks were ordered. Ladyboy mamasan was quite pushy and squeezed out a drink from me. Usual pleasantries. I had the girl on my right and the mamasan on my left. I asked the girl if she would join me upstairs to which she nodded smilingly. She went to the loo. I asked the mamasan about the price. It was 500 for the room and 1000 baht for the girl. I was ok and said I would take the girl upstairs. The girl returned back and sat beside me. They both started talking in thai and were having a little argument. The mamsan than told me that the girl wanted 1500 baht. I asked her why? She had no answer and told me that I should speak with the girl and got up and left. I tried to speak and engage with the girl but she seemed adamant. If I go then I go at 1500 baht is all I could hear. I sensed that it was not going to be a good session as she seemed quite fixated on her price rather than anything else. She then got up and went up on the stage to dance. I felt no point in staying or paying 1500 for such attitude hence settled my tab and walked out.

Ruby Bar:

I walked out and was going towards second road when I saw a hottie. Amazingly slender girl with three star tattoo below her left eye and a sexy smile. I got drawn to her and started talking to her. I asked her if she would like to have a drink to which she nodded and we both moved in. As she walked in front of me I could see her superb butt. I just felt like touching it but controlled myself. We got seated, drinks were ordered. I tried to chat with the girl but she either didn't understand or was just smiling and nodding. I called the passing lady mamasan to check what the issue was. She told me that the girl didn't speak much English. I was ok but then she added that she didn't barfine as well. What a bummer I said to myself. Now we have coyotes in Soi 6 as well. First for me. I somehow finished my drink and was out without wasting any further time. I decided to hit the discos later on in the night and got back to hotel. I didn't go to Mon's bar which I should have.


Night: 808 & Insomnia

I got into 808 around 12.30 am. I had seen some really good girls the earlier night. Surprise, none of them were to be seen that night. The bar was much less crowded compared to earlier night. I thought I was early and should wait till after 1 pm. I stayed for approx. 90 minutes but there weren't any good girls. Few oldies and mature hags. Couple of girls in groups but none seem interested or were showing any signs except for partying amongst themselves. Rest all accompanied. I moved around and got to each nook and cranny of the club as the crowd was quite thin. Around 2 pm I decided to head to Insomnia.

Scene inside insomnia was the same. All regulars including Moon were missing. Her stage dancer sister was up there swaying and garnering tequila shots. I did two rounds and couldn't find anything to my taste. I had two beer and waited till 4 am but it was just not working out for me. Surprisingly it seemed like most of the girls had taken a day off on Saturday. I called it a night.

Last night spent alone in Pattaya. Strange and odd but true. Maybe the Problem of Plenty had got to me. I always have myself to blame for being too picky, combing and looking for a specific girl amongst the crowd. But I guess its ok for me.
