I had my Mamasan lady come over last night, for more training. And the training is paying off, she is giving more realistic GFE, not just trying to have me finish as fast as possible. For Thailand it's 13% (last published on Dec 11), not great, but at the height of the pandemic in August it was above 30%. Ideally, it should be around 3%, Malaysia is there right now, they test enough.

Anecdotes are completely worthless.

I have no idea how bad Covid-19 is in Pattaya now. All I know is that it is impacting which ladies are available for barfining, for me.

Last night, I had 4 ladies ask to come to my place, because they aren't working, due to Covid quarantine. I passed on that tempting offer.

I also don't know what flavor of Covid is being spread. I suspect that it's Omicron, and that the cheap test kits can't detect it. And it doesn't make anyone really sick.

For what? What are you going to do different whether the number is 1 or 1000?

Very simple. If I believe the new cases per day is a small number, I'll do the Phuket sandbox and then travel about. If I believe it is a high number, I'll stay home even if entry rules are easy.

Covid is beginning to hit the bars hard.

I have a 3 day pool villa reservation starting on the 27th, with 3 sets of ladies coming. But, some are dropping out due to positive Covid tests or symptoms of Covid. Some had Covid and are now testing positive. Some cashiers are getting infected, even though they have minimum customer contact.

I saw one guy who is symptomatic posting on Facebook from TreeTown.

Some bars require that ladies test every day. Meanwhile, Omicron clusters are emerging around Thailand.

Be careful out there.

Google's published daily new case numbers for Thailand has shown a steady decline from about 21,000 in mid-August down to about 2,700 now. Informal reports from people like Explorer give me concern that the published data are much lower than reality. I have other Thai sources that tell of their friends getting COVID recently, but none in the past.

Who has confidence in the published new case counts? The Thailand numbers that I see via google are consistent with what is posted every day on Fabulous 103 Pattaya.

Arrived at BKK to an empty airport (both inside and outside) two weeks ago. Not one plane at a gate when we landed. It was a Thai Airways flight, maybe half full. Of those flying there were 'few' solo guys, it was mostly farangs with their Thai family flying home with the scattered individual Thai's flying home. My guess is maybe 50 out of 200 passengers were solo guys flying to Thailand. Had all of my paperwork printed out and stapled together which I had to pull out at every leg. Tons more steps to consider vs the normal routine that's so easy to remember. Made it through immigration without any question as to my departure flight, only uploaded a one way flight when I applied for my QR code and 60 day visa. Surprised there weren't more questions asked. Finally found my hotel transportation and was whisked into a waiting taxi that drove me all of 2 km's away to another waiting vehicle for the ride down to Pattaya. There were few passengers waiting for their SHA shuttle. Why?. Because all of the Thai's just piled into regular taxi's and went home to quarantine. Think there's a flaw in this setup. Just remember its the tourists responsible for any covid spread.

Made it through the one day of quarantine mainly by sleeping the entire day, eating the food left at my door. They are really careful to check you in behind their plastic sheets, run you over to the nurse for your covid test and then escorted up to your room. Oddly the guy escorting me seemed to want a tip and accepted 40 baht for his trouble from my possibly contaminated hand to his ungloved hand. Again, maybe a flaw in their setup here. All clear and I could leave my room (which was in another building) and although your keycard wouldn't let you back in I'm sure if you placed some tape over the door lock you could easily make a beer run without anyone seeing. But I was more in tune with sleeping off the extra fatigue from the booster shot I got the day before I flew out (luckily no fever).

So how's the talent been? Well pretty good actually, all from Thai Friendly. Problem is there is absolutely no business for these girls. Just saw a girl today and her story is the same as many of the others I saw. I'm her third customer and she's going back home with little money. You see a girl and its the same story over and over again. Lots of the old timers hanging out in LK Metro but they've already got their regulars. What I do find interesting is these TF girls will give out their LINE ID but then never reply to your message.
