Watched a Vlogger ride his bike down Soi 6 on Saturday night and he pointed out that there were only 10 - 12 customers in total of all the bars that were open. That means there are a lot of girls sitting around, doing nothing. Similarly, WS was packed with pedestrian tourists. Not sure if they were going into any of the bars though. Tree Town even looks light these days. Could it be the high airfares? The prices quoted above seem to be for WS and go-go's. I'm hearing prices for bar girls is much more reasonable.

I'm booked for early September and plan to make the best of it.

I think high airfares and weak economies in western countires and are keeping visitors away. That and of course it is now the low and very rainy season in Thailand. And finally it is a very competitive tourist market while Thailand often shoots itself in the foot with all the BS you have to encounter to have the "privedge of coming here".

ST - 3 k.

BF - 1 k. This depends on the bar. Some are still only 500. But others are 1500. So I'd say 1 k is average.

Of course, LT and ST can and should be negotiated.

I thought people were saying Pattaya is cheaper than Phuket, and Patong.

Those prices, if correct, for a bar girl are way higher than Phuket, and even Bangkok.

They sound more like gogo prices, not bars.

Hello, it's Low Season.

Its perfectly normal for bars to be empty in July and August. What's unfortunate are the numbers of ladies piling in from Isaan, just as the customers disappear.

September will have increasing numbers of customers.

I'm in Phuket now. Bangla Road is flooded with customers walking down the street, but the bars are empty.

You would have to be a damn fool to be on pins and needles or not enjoy yourself or not do what you want because of how you think someone that you are paying to be with you would feel.
