I hit Soi 6 late Friday and there are hardly any punters out. I elected to do 3 passes down the alley. That was a mistake because I didn't grab the 2 dark skin lovelies my first pass. There was a slimy with a tight body but she was around my age and too old for my taste. Newbies, its not like Tijuana. You literally can have a 20 min. Drink with a regular and that new tang could be gone when you return. So the aforementioned chicks from Quicy Bar grab me for a quick drink. 1 round damage is 400 baht. I wasn't keen on quick bar because I came with the mindset of getting some fresh new booty. Definitely not in repeat mode unless they coming straight to my room and cutting the bar out. With Sai's psycho display last week I rather avoid the bar. They suggested I do a threesome. I wasn't quick to take the bait since Sai said she never been with a chick before. Unless I'm in Brazil or the chicks tongue is down the other chicks throat I am not game. Plus quicky has a resident lady boy that makes the bar dicey. Sai claims she saw me on Walking St. Who knows. She surely didn't greet me.

Last time board member Amex was in town he hit me up in the middle of the night to come down to Insomnia. I went down and saw he was already with 2 chicks at the table. For the longest I thought we were one big party, but come to find out the chicks were already at the table when he got there and he didn't know them from Adam. I wrote a report about almost leaving with one then some bullshit happening. This was sometime last year.

Hi All.

I have a question or 2 regarding Insomnia night club. Firstly if you become a VIP member how guaranteed are you of getting a table and how secure is the table if everyone is on the dance floor for example? Are the tables in a separate area? I have never been in the club so excuse my vagueness but it most represent better value then drinking at Agogos all night. Any and all insights and experiences are welcome.

Well in response to your question I just go to Pattaya for quick 1-2 day visits which is why I take quite a few girls in a short period of time. So I don't have a monthly budget.

FYI Airbnb is officially illegal now in Thailand so be careful especially if this is a place you plan on retiring at. Not sure if they will come down on renters. I haven't heard any cases being moved forward yet. Any black mark could hinder your ability to renew your Visa.

Jomtien is nice but it's a bit far if you want to go to Soi 6 or Terminal 21, even with a motorbike.

Yes, if you haven't decided on an area yet, rent hotels or a guest house and go around to different parts of the city and start walking. Not only will you lose 10-20 kg in the first month but you will find many interesting bars you may have never found otherwise and believe me there are MANY never mentioned in ISG..

I suggest you to avoid the huge tourist new condos. New condo like Unixx and The Base have very small room like 1 bedroom - 34 mq and are full of tourist and family with children. For living there all year I would like some building more small but with bigger apartment in a quiet area.

My main wingman bought one at Maldives and it took them 4 years to build it. That thing is micro small. I am sure that he would not have bought it had he seen the actual place beforehand.

I saw some attractive looking condominiums near Jomtien beach on airbnb but will most likely follow your advice and check into a hotel and then go apartment hunting.

Lots of options so best to get a temporary place and do your homework. I liked staying at Centara and City Garden. But the latter has new management now and I don't' get the same deals I used to. Internet connection is also spotty. I have a friend who is at Urban and really likes it, but they only do long time leases so never tried personally.

You may also want to join the Pattaya Addicts board as there is a lot of info about condos and other daily non mongering life stuff: food, immigration issues, healthcare, services, etc.

I envy you and hope to follow in your footsteps when retirement time comes. Though I think I may end up trying to split my time 50/50 between SE Asia and Latin America.

I'm a simple guy. But I have a buddy that lives in a 1 BR at VT Residences for 20000 baht says that he budgets US $3000 per month. Most of the time he comes in under that. Then you might get a house somewhere and end up needing even less.

100,000 baht is a pretty good ballpark figure for most. You will have to monitor your hobbying budget or not hobby daily though. Don't forget to factor in things like making Visa runs every 60 days. You can rent apartments for under 10k baht near Central Pattaya if you are not looking for something new and have a motorbike. You can rent newer but very small condos near a baht bus route for 15-20k baht.

So that is it 10 girls in 24 hours. And yes I still made it for a quick McDonalds breakfast before getting the taxi. Thanks to Rob, the staff at Baraquda and of course all the girls for their good attitude and fun.
