I have had it there, but your best chance is with Freelancers on WS, in the discos (Insomnia,) and the girls online such as Thai Friendly and Fiwfans. Came back a few weeks ago from my last trip and I spent a few weeks at page 10 hotel which is next doors basically from where you will be staying, can't say anything about your hotel but from what I saw from outside but it looks good, good WIFI / internet as I could see the connection from my hotel / room and front looks good although hardly new / fresh. Location is great, go towards beach road if you want to go south (walking street) or the other way if you want to go towards soi 6/ other areas and gents clubs. I would not recommend walking to soi 6 as its bit of distance.

I never woke up in time for hotel breakfast at vacations so I always skipped that but took a few minutes walk to Hemingway's restaurant which is an absolute gem if you want to relax in a good western place for that "feeling of home", great western food, tv everywhere for sport events and its very popular among non-Thai There are a few 7/11 close as well as a couple of massage shops so starting the day and getting whatever you need, a foot massage and meal there and you are ready for a day of fun.

It's the best place to look for hot girls, you just have to select well. I've had only good experiences, but I was very picky. Write with many girls at the same time, it will work out with few. I was at The Stay Hotel last fall. Outstanding location, huge decent rooms, good (but pricey) buffet breakfast. Not a lot of choice at the breakfast buffet but the food is very good IMHO. To get to Soi 6 it is best to walk from the hotel to Second Road, a two minute walk. Hop on a baht bus (runs every minute or two) and pay B10, and get off on Soi 6. Returning from Soi 6, walk to Beach Rd and a baht bus will drop you off at Soi 10. It's a 1 or 2 minute walk to the beach from the hotel and maybe 10 minutes walk to Treetown. 7-11's, ATMs, cheap laundry are nearby. The Stay is an excellent choice although US $63 is not cheap. I got it for US $40 in low season.

The others' advice about getting a Thai Sim Card is very good advice. It's nice to have a local number to call girls, Bolt, airlines, etc. Just make sure your phone is unlocked. You'll need your phone to be unlocked to use a Thai Sim Card.

I've not been there for a few years but it was really good with big rooms and very quiet. It does need a refurb though.

Get a Thai sim as you will need it, relying on bars and other locations for WI-FI will not be convenient. There will be many times you won't be able to connect and all too often you will be asking for the password. A Sim might set you back about 300 THB if you need it for a week, I think I paid 900 THB as I needed it longer.

I use it a lot and never start a conversation until about an hour before I want to meet, then I always ask then to come over right away and it's always a surprise if they show up in 20 minutes.
