I've never been in Pattay and next week I am visiting the place just for one night with business colleagues coming from abroad. Yes, in regards to Erotic shows upscale without need to BF and buy drinks, the only place I can think of right now that has anything close is out near the main bus station on Pattaya Nua. This is where they take bus loads of tour groups from Korean and Chinese to see the sex shows. Pattaya is cheap. You should not have to pay those prices in the go-gos unless you go to Alcatraz or Airport. The latter I believe is where the hottest girls are. You can negotiate to 1500 ST. Maybe even 1000 ST if it's late enough. It just depends. I suggest you go to several go-gos and see which one you like; that's what most of us did. The drinks are super cheap during happy hour (sometimes as low as 45 baht) so there's nothing to lose.

I haven't been in 6 months (I live in BKK) but personally, my favorite go-gos in Pattaya are:
