I have read of guys paying the barfine early in the night and returning later to collect the girls. I know it guarantees the girls will be there but will they go short time while waiting for you? I know there are different rates before and after 1 to 2 am and what rate would you expect to pay?

Thanks for the feedback guys. It all makes sense. I have met both girls before and they agreeable for a 3 way and I want to have to suit my schedule which will be tight because of only a 5 night stay, to many girls not enough time LOL. I will follow your advice and present myself early to them to show them I'm in town and carry on with my planned activities and return later to collect.

You come with 300 baht bar fine and say you will get her later. I come with 300 baht bar fine plus 2000 baht LT for her to come right then. You think she is really going to wait for you? Better for them to refund your 300. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush works both ways. Doesn't matter what rates you would expect to pay. It matters what rates are charged in that particular place.

What if Mr. E is a regular and she likes Mr. E? YMMV. The girl could have a blast with Mr. E and do a rain check on you and make you wait for the following day if your really dead set on her and double dip. After all it is just a game for them. Or worse, she is on the 10th day of her 10 day contract and goes back to Issan the next night. What if the customer is Thai and she can do a date in her mother tongue? The smartest scenario would be getting her number and making side deals directly with the girl instead of high priced intermediaries like the bar and mamasan who only care about their commissions. If you have her line or facebook you can get hourly updates on her day whether she is eating Thai food with the ladies and out and about in the city which will dictate how you will proceed.

Precisely. Why would you wanna barfine anyone early on when, presumably, you'd still be bar-hopping for some time? What if the subsequent pastures are greener and someone else catches your fancy? Having a prior arrangement will definitely slow the matters with the number you actually wanna take in the end. Just my thoughts.

Money talks. What if some deep pocketed Arab or East Asian guy outbids you? The mamasan will give preference to regulars or groups who bar fine in bulk. If you know for certain that is the girl you want I would claim the prize immediately. Kind of like that Babe Ruth movie that bombed and when he finally got around to cashing the check it bounced. Why would you leave open the door to uncertainty. What most expats would do would be to get her number and negotiate with the girl directly and save baht. Next, you probably would have to have chemistry with that girl. You wouldn't pay and leave a new girl on the shelf. To each his own, but once money exchanges hands I expect the girl to change in her street attire and leave the premises if no room are on site. What if the bar is raided a hour before you return?

It's interesting only because the airfare and hotel prices do not show any consistent and appreciable difference in prices for Hi / low / mid or whatever season. Same applies for weekdays vs weekends as well.

I would really love to find a place that is cheap to fly to from May through September. If someone knows, please tell me what it is. Berlin, Bogota and Bangkok certainly aren't.

Though the difference in airfare during high and low season may not be much, but, it is still noticeable and adds up in case of a frequent flyer over a calender year. There are some useful online resources/apps based (or touted as being based) on the actual algorithms used by airlines for determining airfare that tell you the best time to book and the lowest possible fare you can get for your flight by processing the expected variation in the fare between the time you first check and the actual date of travel. If you check airfare for any random or a particular route routinely, over some period of time, you'd realize that the price fluctuation can be sudden i.e. in a matter of days and the increase can be sufficient enough to leave a bad taste in the mouth. If the resources available online are employed wisely and timely, they can help saving some extra bucks that can, instead, be utilized for that one more 'ahem'. Moreover, as they say, a penny saved is a penny earned. I'd be happy to post the links to some of these apps, but, not sure of the posting guidelines in this regard. All depends on what you consider 'cheap'. Is $573 roundtrip to Frankfurt cheap in June? I think so. $780 to Bangkok is a tad high but if your going to wait until May to purchase flights in the summer then you deserve to pay more.

I seen competitive Dubai fares in contrast to Frankfurt. Only 6 hrs. Flights to boot. I prefer SE Asia over Europe. I didn't like AMS. Germany was cool though.

I went to Taboo in February and the talent was ok and we bar fined girls and no dearer then anywhere else in the strip. I think it was models at 2000 barfine because early and 2000 for the girls ST. Didn't mind as the girls were early 20's and good in bed.

I'm back in 2 weeks for 5 nights and will check it again.

If you are flying to Thailand from North America, you are probably flying through another country in route. These hubs like Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Taipei and the Mideast hubs like Dubai, Doha, and Abu Dhabi are not slowing down in the "off season" for tourism. Business travel continues, while in North America kids are out of school and available to travel. Expat families go home to Asia. They take the whole family. So, the planes on the overseas routes are even fuller. There's a reason that a flight to BKK (or KUL, or MNL) is cheaper in November than it is in July. I got a great deal on Qatar Airways to KUL by booking a ticket in November for a March flight. It would cost over twice as much now on the same "economy" fare.

Don't expect a price break to the PI in the summer. Expat Pinoys are famous for taking the whole family back home to the Philippines every year. Yes, every year. The whole family. I even had a Pinay matron admit to me that was true. They go when school is out in the summer so they can take the kids. Yes, I know this thread is about Thailand. Thai Airways out of LAX will always be expensive at any time of year.

On Walking St during the slow work nights Mon. / Tues. You see less people out. However, the weekend warriors from the Mid East and Surrounding Asia come out in force on weekend nights sometimes during low season. I think the Filipinas take a bigger hit during low season than Thais. Plus some of the hotties have sponsors and are out of town for low season. The smaller bars take a bigger hit than the bigger bars.

Its a night club or gogo on WS just before 808 on the same side. Drinks are pricey. 130 baht for Soda / Juice / Water and a shot of liquor can run 190 baht. The girls here don't have the best faces but they generally have more proportional meat on their bones. The house DJ mixes a lot of hip hop. I asked my Thai friend how do you know the difference between model and coyote and she motions for me to look. Obviously it is some made up BS. The girls are not fully nude at Taboo. They show a little of their bottoms and maybe tape around the areolas. The funny thing about my friend is she wastes her hard earned day job money to party at taboo virtually every night but she knows little about the place outside of ordering drinks.
