Pattaya newbie here. Had a quick questions. I know traffic is hell during Songkran. However, I arrive at 1 am at BKK Sunday the 19th and will be heading down to Pattaya using a car service. The 19th is the last day of Songkran in Pattaya so what can I expect for travel time if I am leaving BKK at 1 am?

If you arrive on time, it will most likely be at least 2:00 AM by the time you deplane, clear immigration, change some currency, claim your luggage, clear customs and find your driver and walk to the parking garage. It'so only about 75 or 80 miles to Pattaya, and I can't imagine that it will take more than 1 1/2 hours at that time. I don't believe that Songkran will have any impact on the length of your ride.

I saw something recently? This weekend, there is some type of concert and the warning was all hell regarding traffic since they have dug up and closed off lanes on Sukhumvit / Pattaya Klang. The are asking people that come from outside to park at a dirt lot and take motorbike taxi inside to Beach Road?

Thought I seen somewhere. This is the annual music festival being set up along beach road?

Out of the goodness of my heart and because I know how tough it can be sometimes to find the answer to a basic question. The information is often spread out over a lot of posts and pages. These are the going rates I found when I prepared for my holiday about 5 months ago:

Bar Girls: ST 1500 B, LT 2500 B. Bar fines vary from 300 to 700 B.

Agogo Girls: ST 2000 B or 2500 to 3000 B for a stunner. LT 4000 to 5000 B.
Bar fine depends on time, place and 'type' of girl. Coyotes are more expensive than 'normal' dancers. Bar fines for dancers vary from 600 to 800 B. The typical bar fine for a coyote is 1500 B before midnight and 1000 B after midnight.

Quick question: is the Beach Road covered by market stalls at this time? I'm planning to go this week (Mar 17 or 18), but would refrain if there's a market going, since it tends to kill the activities. On the same note, how has the Beach Road quality / quantity been lately?

There were some stall frames there at 7 pm. I do not know if they were going up or coming down though. Today was March 17, so I suspect if you would have made it today you would have known before you posted? Quality and quantity I would rather not speak of since I have never had a problem with either, although I know many here have complained. Late Sunday night about 2am there was a cop roundup though.

Don't be afraid to negotiate. Last week I was on my way home when I stopped to talk to some chicks that sit outside at a bar that I always pass. After sitting on my bike talking to the girls for a minute I noticed a new bar had opened up next to it. The mamasan / owner and a girl were sitting outside at a table. I moved my bike up to talk to them. The girl said she was 22 years old. The mamasan said that she had only been there 3 days. I asked how much for her to come with me all night. The mamasan said 1500 baht. I told her that 1300 sounds much better. It was maybe midnight then. I told the mamasan that I had some things to do and would call her later if I decide to get the girl. She said that she would close at 2.

About 2:30 my other plans fell through so I decided to call the mamasan to see if the girl was still available. She said that she was and had been waiting on my call. So I drove back to the bar and forked over 1300 baht and took the girl home with me. I told the mamasan that I would be fucking her next for 1000 baht. I told her that I would bring the girl back in the morning. The mamasan gave the girl a key to get back into the bar (girl lives upstairs in the bar, mamasan lives in Jomtien) and off we went.

It was a great session. The girl had milky tits and all. She said I was her first customer and it showed (besides that, since I have gotten back from Malaysia a couple of days ago, I still have not seen 1 customer in the bar). As far as I can recall the only words she knew in English were ok and no. I woke the girl up at 8 to take her back to the bar and came home to wait for my taxi to the bus station. I was almost in Bangkok at 10:30 when the mamasan called me asking where the girl was. I told her that I had dropped her at the bar at 8. She said that she was not answering the phone. I said shit she is probably sleeping. She didn't even want to get out of the bed when I woke her up. She is now an official bar girl with bar girl hours.

By the way, that was my first bar fine ever in Thailand after living here 5 years and coming here since 2005. The only other barfine I have done was once in Angeles City last year.

Also, last night I was at a buddy's bar and one of the girls wanted me to take her out. I asked her how much and she said 500 for the bar and 2000 for her long time. I laughed. I told her I would never pay 2000. She said okay. You give me what you want. I told her that I didn't have power (a friend was here from Bangkok and I had just left her hotel) and I was planning to go out with my friends, so I would take her up on the offer later on in the week. She kept insisting that I take her last night for whatever I wanted to give her. I guess coming with me for whatever is better than sleeping upstairs in a bar for zero.

I have a more positive view than the other responders. After a couple of weeks visit I don't claim to be an expert but I have covered a lot of miles around the area. My feeling is that if you need a change from the "in your face" style of mainstream Pattaya but you don't want to cut yourself off from the bar+girl scene completely, the Darkside might fit the bill

It has been awhile since I have been in Pattaya. Just like to know the going rates for the girls, Bar Girls, GoGo girls, long time and short time? Also what are the cost of drinks and bar fines. I will be in Pattaya end of next week.

You can't hesitate --that's for sure! Especially in high season when the ratio there is more punters than ladies.

I have had the same thing happen to me too many times. In December I missed out on a repeat with one of the hottest girls I'v ever laid because I was mulling over my options.

I made up for it the next time by doing a quick recon of the place and then pouncing in the hottest girl there (at least she was IMHO). Tall. Curvy, "blonde", with a beautiful face. (see pics) I damn near had to fight off the attention of other guys to get her. Guys are ruthless in high season and one parked himself right by me and my cutie and just hung out there until I gave him a nasty stare and he finally up and went.

Took her home for some good GFE. But did not repeat with her as I got involved with a real sweetheart I met on BR. LOL.
