I went to the Darkside the other day (Khao Talo), and rented a hotel room so I could hit some bars late at night.

I was surprised how many bars there are, and how many have doable ladies waiting for customers. Of course, the Darkside environment is different from Pattaya, since the bars typically have the same customers day after day. The customers are mostly long term residents who got married to a Thai lady who now says they are too old to fuck. So, the Farang goes out to a bar to find a lady, and over time, the lady becomes a sort of second wife, during work hours.

OF course, while the Farang is playing in the bar, his wife can entertain her Thai brother who lives a block away.

The Darkside bars are often very quiet, there is no high season or low season, just the same customers. But, if three or four customers don't show up, the bar can be very dead. Another facet of the Darkside is that there aren't a lot of walk-ins, not a lot of pedestrian traffic outside, unlike LK Metro or Soi 6. Which means many bars don't have ladies sitting outside, so if the doors are closed, its hard to know if the bar is open.

The Darkside is big, I think in terms of area, its bigger than central Pattaya. There isn't any mass transit, so you have to take a taxi, or a moto, or have a car. I use Bolt, but wait times can be long.

To each their own, my buck stops at buying an LD to Mama. I do not really see the upside of screwing GILFs for Intel, in fact I'd buy her another LD if that keeps her from stalking me back to my room. I find that Mamas' recommendations often should be taken with a grain of salt, just like a used car salesman she may not really be disclosing what's under that paint job and have her reasons for selling you a particular model. For me it's more about showing girls that I know Mama since before, or if she's new a acquiantance, that I have established some rapport with Mama. Do not take her sales talk as the ultimate truth.

I am talking about Mamasans who are doable. Some are quite popular, but don't want to do much in the bar, or they lose face. I know Mamasans who went back to working as bargirls, and made more money.

I am here long time, so lying to me about a lady is not a good plan.

The only downside of fucking Mamasans is a little tension when I buy drinks for a bargirl, the Mamasan thinks of me as "her" customer.

If the Mamasan isn't doable, I can still buy her a drink, and if she gets too aggressive about going to the hotel, I can always say that it's not possible because she's a Mamasan.

I always tell them that I usually only take the same girl once, which is usually true, and might come back for the other girls in bar. If they get a bad attitude I just pay my check bin and move onto another bar.

About Thai customers in bars: apparently small bars that allow Thai men don't let them use short time rooms. ST rooms are totally unlicensed, and the fear is that any Thai man could be undercover police. So, if they drink in a bar, that's okay, and they can barfine ladies, but cannot use ST rooms.

I ended up in a Thai bar last night, a hole in the wall off Pattaya Tai.

The night started off with drinks at my condo with a Thai lady. Normally, drinks with this lady end up with us rolling around the sofa, but she just got married to some German guy, so I was not going to do anything. I asked her what happened to her Thai boyfriend and she said she didn't fuck him anymore.

After a couple of hours, we left for a Farang bar, picked up a friend of hers, and then headed for a Thai bar. Within seconds of our being seated, 2 Thai men appeared. I sprang for Sangsom for everyone, and more Thai men appeared, plus one Thai lady for me. The Thai lady could speak zero English, but was quite lovely.

Apparently, one of the Thai men was the boyfriend of my married "date", so she had a good night.

The lesson was, if you marry a Thai lady, don't let her roam Pattaya without you.

For those of you that trim instead of shave. What length do you trim down to?

Does / did anyone wax? Is it worth the extra pain and chance of ingrown hairs to have a smoother finish?

My trimmer gives me only 2 options, and I always use the shortest, I. E. Cut the most hair.

I tried wax once. Never again, too painful.

Very guest friendly. There is a security guy at the gate who holds a girls ID if you walk in with them but if you're on your own bike they never stop anyone. Its always a dude, and they are pretty friendly iirc. You will see very obvious bargirls everyday around there leaving in the morning or lounging at the pool. I stayed there last year and thought it was good. However there is construction on bukhao 15 now so I would not book anything without checking that out first.

I use a Philco also and recently upgraded to this model from a pure beard razor also made by Philco. It was on the advice of a male Walgreens clerk and I have to say on body hair such as the chest area, it works very well, though recommend trimming with scissors first to reduce some of the electric razor work. It cost about $70 for this model but worth it. The Philco also holds a long charge too.

Been using disposable razors and soap since 94. Shave the shaft, cods, taint, and keister every other day. I'd never get smooth enough with an electric.

One issue that most mongers ignore is the lady who is on ice or yabba. Functionally, the problem is they can't sleep after fucking. If you make them stay until morning, they don't sleep and may bounce against your hotel room walls.

But the big problem is your proximity to them if they are stopped by the police.

There is no way to identify these ladies in a short time, I only know about ladies using ice if another lady tells me, or if they are caught. You don't want to go with a lady who has been caught recently, because they may working with police now.

I know of people who sell ice who turn in some percentage of their customers to the police as a condition of being allowed to do business.
