Last time I was in Pattaya, I found it still quite congenial. I'll be returning to Pattaya in late January and I have a few questions which might be easily answered by the expats living there.

1. What are the internet speeds like at most coffee shops or businesses offering WiFi? Is it awful?

My hotel will have internet, and I remember from last visit that it isn't so bad, but I'd like to take my laptop out with me and work during the day. Any secret spots that have good connectivity?

2. Is the Hooters finished yet? Will it hopefully be finished by the end of January? I love their hot wings. (don't judge me).

3. I've heard of pub crawls but I've never seen how to join one. Where should I go and at what time, if I want to check it out? Is it even worth it?

OK, I originally planned on staying in Pattaya for 1 month. But, after a couple days. I had enough. For this trip at least may have not been the best time to come for girls. Don't get my wrong. Yes, my needs were met and I did find some hot girls everyday. Service was excellent. But, I know what Pattaya can be and it was not the best it could be. The girls on beach street at night were horrible. There were still a lot of girl just not good looking girls. Many business were closed. It was pretty late when I rolled into my favorite haunt, Insomnia. I grabbed a beer and went around, but found nobody to my liking. Every girl had pretty much hooked up with some guy, except for a few tables with a gaggle of girls waiting for a customer.

I agree. It's so easy to book a flight and get here. Much easier and cheaper than to get to Angeles for example (for me anyway, from Amsterdam). Transport, infrastructure, food, the beach (for the fresh air, not for swimming), the abundance of girls, it's all so much better. But slowly but surely, year after year, the quality of the girls has gone down and is still going down and I think it has reached a point now that I soon will say: 'That's it, I've had enough. From now on it's only the Phils for me. ' And maybe Vietnam also.
