I returned India after spending 5 days in Pattaya and 2 days in Bangkok. I had good to best times at all places and with all the girls except at Excite Club & Eden Club (Bangkok). I had anticipated to have good time at both these places and they utterly disappointed me esp. The Eden club.

This report is follow up of my Day1 trip report in Pattaya.

Day 2:

First I went by the hotel to check prices. It was $41/day. I went home to cross check on hotels.com. There are different options. You get the best rate when you select the option that is non-refundable. I was pretty sure my dad was coming so I booked the room for $33/day. I told my brother so he could book the same one for my nephew and he did the same. Then my dad backed out, but my nephew is still coming.

I went by the hotel a couple hours ago and they told me to contact hotels.com and they would in turn contact the hotel and they would refund me. It appears hotels.com is pretty busy because everyone else around the world is trying to do the same thing. It said wait time 10 hours!

Hundreds of monkeys from two gangs engaged in a food brawl in Lop Buri.

"This is the astonishing moment hundreds of hungry wild monkeys scramble for a single piece of food. The primates are normally well fed by tourists in the city of Lopburi, central Thailand, but visitors have plummeted because of the coronavirus. So when one of the primates had a juicy banana, the entire pack that roam around the streets surrounded the creature this morning (March 11) and tried to snatch it. Footage shows how hundreds of monkeys began tussling for the snack. When one of the animals fled with it, the creatures chased it up a grass bank. Even locals who are used to seeing the creatures were shocked by their ferocity. ONE said: 'They looked more like wild dogs than monkeys. They went crazy for the single piece of food. I've never seen them this aggressive. I think the monkeys were very, very hungry. There's normally a lot of tourists here to feed the monkeys but now there are not as many, because of the coronavirus."

This is why I am still planning to go to LOS unless my flight is cancelled. Someone has to take care of the girls. It is the humane thing to do.

Visited Walking Street a couple of times early in the week I usually go once or twice a week for my health. Doctor's orders. While I'm not a medical doctor, I figure my academic degree is enough under the circumstances..

After reading all the Covid-19 news and particularly the lack of details from the government here; combining that with new measures at the entrances to many places in Pattaya including Walking Street venues, I think it's wise to lay low for a while maybe three weeks or so to see how things play out. I'm too old for this any of it and while (knock-on-wood) healthy, my choice would be to extend my run rather than wallow.
