So I discovered there was a Bell Transit Location right across the Highway from where I stay in Bang Na, and I was able to go directly from there to Pattaya for 108 Baht. I was going to stay out of this discussion but what the hell. I think that if you just want a hole to bust a nut in, then this strategy will work, as you will find someone desperate enough to accept your offer.
