Tonight I stopped to talk to a 7 on Soi 6 at Jungle bar. Jungle bar is right next to Nature bar. To me it looks like they are related, and so hence would have a similar room pricing? I had already sessioned twice before at Nature bar and the cost of the onsite room was 400 baht each time.

So when the chick told me that the cost of the room at Jungle bar was 500 baht I was somewhat surprised (and shocked). 500 baht for a small room that they don't even clean between sessions, and for which I am there for about 30 minutes is quite annoyingly high.

So I passed on the chick. They didn't even try to call me back. I just find it strange that they are prepared to lose the 400 baht that I was prepared to pay for the room, plus the 1000 baht that I would have paid the chick. Total of 1400 baht just walks away for the sake of holding out for an extra 100 baht. Strange place this Thailand.

My only explanation is that the girls have to stick to fixed prices as set by their managers. I don't know.

Anyway I walked 5 metres across the road and sessioned with a chick at Horny bar for 400 baht for the room, and 1000 baht for the chick.

All the bars mentioned are part of the night wish grp bars so they all should be the same price.

For me that is usually not a problem if I decide to stay. But if asked before even looking inside, I would probably walk. This was even before Starbucks, though I am not sure if their policy change is international. I think for the younger guys the minimum drink could be a problem. But then they should be able to pull without paying anything for various reasons. I suspect the drink policies will change over time and based on clientele.

So, my AVOID bars on Soi 6 due to overpriced rooms or one drink minimums are now:

Jungle bar.

I don't know where you are from but it happens to me all the time in the US and Europe. Sometimes I am with a small group of 2 or 4. We can be half an hour early for dinner so we just ask to sit and wait till the kitchen opens. Denied. Hopefully a less than mediocre talent bar like Jungle Bar hasn't decided to try to raise Soi 6 prices to 500 baht. Also, you are also being ripped off if your Soi 6 session lasts less than 1 hour (or until you finish). Same applies to any G club in Pattaya.

My 30 minutes is about how long I spend with a girl and this is till finish. But I understand that I could spend one hour in the room if required.

I actually confirmed the price of the room several times, and even said "ha loy" in thai. But she was adamant that the room cost was 500 baht. I even told her that Nature bar next door was 400 baht. Also, she did mention take-out rates which I didn't even ask about. I think she said take-out was 550 baht barfine, and something like 2000 baht to her.

But no I didn't just walk off straight away.
