Okay. Let me try again: there are plenty of ladies hanging around Soi Buakhow at night, are there short time hotels in the Soi Lengkee / Diana area?

When it comes to ATM, although I live here and have a few Thai Bank accounts my main source of Baht comes each month from the ATM I've been doing this for as long as I can remember. In my own simple way, I have a number of Credit Cards, Debit Cards from different institutions that are interlinked so if one goes down I have a backup. In 15 plus years never have had a card sucked up but did have a problem years back with Aeon when the machine didn't dispense money but took it out of my account. A simple call to my institution back home was placed back an audit requested to Aeon month later resolved. I was also shorted once by a Bangkok Bank ATM without going into details they lied one of the reasons I will only do so much business with any Thai Bank.

Years ago I did research out of interest I went throughout Pattaya using different Thai bank ATM'S checking their rates from local and tourist locations sadly although the same bank there is a slight difference in the exchange rate if every baht makes a difference in the end I make it a point although there are only two locations here in Pattaya to mainly use Aeon the user fee is 150 baht compared to 220 and most of all no matter what card is used they don't put in their own lower rate as the other Thai Banks.

Cards are different, as noted Fidelity, Charles Schwab which I also have and I think another top of my head Citi-Bank return all fees to you end of the month. These cards for example like my other Wells Fargo when used on a Thai Bank the lower exchange rate request being asked it goes straight to the Internation rate but remember after requesting your money the screen shows a breakdown of the rate most likely will be 1% lower do not push YES to continue push NO it will revert back to the International rate. Sadly my Credit Union Debit card whenever I use it on a Thai Bank ATM I get this message.

A few years back needing to wire large amounts from the USA I also did research, in the end, settle on Transferwise which is called Wise now, all the data I got showed Wise gave a much higher rate to offset any of their fees so I sign up and gave it a try every transaction was quick and fast once you get everything set up. So if you live here or visit long periods at a time and can establish a local account you should consider this method as I have been doing for a year to cut the expense of ATM fees regardless if you are getting it free.

I get my pension money S. S. Placed in two different accounts Charles Schwab and my Credit Union I've been consolidating deposits from my other accounts to Charles Schwab. Prior I was doing two withdraws a month from my Credit Union the cost was in the range totalling 20.00 USD. Based on the average exchange rate two draws for $1000 USD max 30,000 baht. Using Wise I do a transfer once a month to my Thai bank account the fee I pay for $1000 (example) is just under $10.00 with the better exchange rate given by Wise compare to any ATM I get an average of 1000 B for every $1000 USD, although not much in USD that is $30.00.

    Food for thought?

If y'all haven't heard of it there's this which is what I have: Schwab Bank High Yield Investor Checking® account (Google it).

You get a debit card which has 0% foreign transaction fees (most are at least 1%) and better yet you get ATM fees refunded. So if there an access fee of say 200 baht for using the ATM you get that money refunded to you by Schwab.

I have left Thailand to get vaccinated but will return soon.

Given the closed bars and massage shops, what are my options for fun?

You clearly don't know me then!
There you have it BB? Today what you have is a lot of keyboard cowards as they term them. It is easier to criticize behind the keyboard easier for some to talk behind their backs treat them like an enemy but lack the fortitude to do it straight out!

What kills me as you noted been told in the past by others some posters aren't even real or even been in Thailand if true that is really pathetic in my opinion just degrades the website credibility and there is just no justifiable reason for doing it!

Well, have to admit it is a while since I opened mine, but was on 30 day waiver as traveler when I did. Just got the residence paper from immigration (which is easy).

I'm pretty sure some branches will do still (BKK bank on 2nd road near WS and BKK bank on Jomtien 2nd road on top of Soi 5 used to be OK at least).

If not use agents like Mots or Tik Tok sure they can make it happen for a small fee...almost anything here is...

Western Union has different rates and terms depending on how fast you need the money moved, where it comes from, and where it goes. Last I checked the Western Union fees were zero with good exchange rate if you did bank account to bank account transfer and allowed about 5 days. Immediate moving money from credit card in USA to cash in Thailand was insanely expensive.

    MP recent "food scams"

These posts of his reminds me of the scams ghetto crack working girl single moms would perpetrate using vouchers and food stamps to game the system. Here is a idea how about doing something as simple as living by your own strength and labour rather than collecting daddies stipend, if you want to impress us. Its equally hilarious to equate his 100 baht food scams to the scams run by MNC to validate his edgy success.

    Scamming Thais? Come on.

I notice Svammers are always Broke. Coincidence or not.
If scammers are broke, why are the banks rich? Today, I pulled out my weekly entertainment, massage, and pussy stipend from a Krungsi ATM. And guess what? There is a screen where the banks tells you "We converted your home currency for your convenience" as if they are trying to help you. If you accept, the stupid rate is about the same as Western Union's rate. That shit is horrible, about a 1000 baht difference if you select "no." That's 1 short time with a decent hottie now (for some anyways). You can imagine how many people of other nationalities, who aren't fluent in English, get duped. Then after it gave me my money, the card was never returned. I had a Thai girl who was waiting behind me to use the ATM, call customer service to send a technician out. Had to give them the info on my receipt to do so. Lucky me, there was a branch in the mall and all this took like 10 minutes to resolve. This is why I don't like banks. Absolutely no remorse about legally robbing them for over 300 K. They did to sue, but all ended in plaintiff's motion for non-suit. Blessed be the fruit! Under his eye.

    Soi 6 online lady drinks

A Soi 6 girl (who has a few short vids from her Soi 6 bar on Youtube) is now one of my outcalls regulars. She said yesterday was a good day for her as she won 20 drinks. But some days are not as good, with sometimes only 4 or 5 drinks.

Maybe this online lady drinks nonsense is not so bad as it helps keep those girls in Pattaya (as opposed to their returning to the villages).

Food and Fun Part 3, Cheap Charlie? Smart and Savvy? Or Smooth Criminal?

While I was merrily walking, I saw a slim bar girl dashed across the street to a food vendor car, out of the corner of my eye. It was like a giant black cat making a quick dash. Funny thing was the girl was still dressed in her bar outfit, boobs hanging out and tight ass shorts, as if she was working. I walked by her "closed up" shop and could hear music, some chatter, and giggling. I think they were streaming live again, but with doors shut. She was decent enough looking, so I asked about some fun, promising not to tattle tell to the police that they were working behind closed doors. She told me 1000 for everything including the room. Cheap cheap for me because I agreed. She told cart lady to hold onto the brown soupy porky noodle thing until she came back. The girl brought me indoors and upstairs for a shower and quick fuck and suck. The room was dimly lit in all blue, which you should know by now, is Monkeypaw's favorite color. For the title of Soi 6 Aficionado, who can name this Soi 6 bar from the pics? When she was gargling my jizz from her mouth, and spitting my babies down the sink, I asked her how much she got to keep from that 1000. She said only 600 and asked for a tip. I said "no," I need my money for pizza. I'm so hungry! How convenient, Soi 6, at 6, and for 600. Mark of the beast!.
My war with McDonalds. One morning, walked into the McD's at the basement floor of Central Festival in Pattaya for some breakfast. They had a new menu featuring some "cheesy bun" sandwiches. I don't eat meat, so I just ordered the "cheesy egg bun set". When my order was brought to me, all was on the tray was a sandwich, no coffee, no hash brown, nada. I lifted up the paper on the tray, looked under the tray, and still didn't see anything. Monkeypaw looked at the staff lady dumbfounded and asked her "where is the set?" She said I would have to pay extra if I wanted the rest of items. I asked why would McDonald's call this a "set " if its wasn't a "set"? She said, the "set" was the bun, egg, and cheese. I thought that was called a sandwich, I replied. I then grabbed one of those laminated menus and showed her the word "set" is used to describe a combo like in their "filet of fish set" for 159 baht on the menu. It clearly said "set" next the price just like everything else. She said to me that there are no sets that cheap as 39 baht, and that's how I should have known. I said, okay okay, ordered an OJ and paid extra.

Fast forward, a couple of weeks. Normal price filet of fish sandwich is 95 baht, regular fries is 49 baht, combo is 159 baht. I went back to that same McDonald's, ordered from a food delivery app. Hit them with all sorts of coupons and vouchers. 4 (yes four) filet of fish sandwiches and 4 (yes again four) regular fries for 160 baht or 40 baht each combo. The delivery guy picked it up all the food, and dropped it off 10 meters to XXL and yours truly. Monkeypaw was in a sharing kind of mood like always. Because sharing is caring, right? XXL had coffee and I brought some H20. The food was hot, fries crispy, and the McDonald's lounge chairs were comfortable. No quality loss here. And here's another kicker, thank God we both can eat like this and still maintain a BMI at 21. Maybe it's our gift for not eating meat. Afterwards when XXL burned rubber for a nap, Monkeypaw had to drop some serious bombs like Hiroshima and Nagasaki. My condo was at least a 10 minute walk away in the hot ass sun. The public bathrooms in Central Festival are decent. But if you know me, just like a finding a top tier Gogo bar girl. If there is something better, I will find it and make it my own. I headed to the top floor, though the glass doors, up the stairs and found myself at the guest bathrooms for the Hilton. Nice, cool, clean, marbled, quiet, empty with towels, lavender soap, and scented lotion. And this is where the Kraken was released. It's like one night in Bangkok, and now Pattaya is my oyster. Maybe the world is next. My gems are my rewards for the mercy I showed on the McD's staff. Cheap Charlie? Smart and Savvy? Or Smooth Criminal?

P.S. In case anyone is clueless, the phrase "the world is your oyster" means that one can achieve anything you wish in life or go anywhere because one has the opportunity or ability to do so.
