It has been discussed many times why Indian guys have a bad name among the girls in Thailand and the reason for that. 1. Timings: Soi 6 open at around noon and stays open till midnight or 1 am or so. Gogo bars do not really open before 8 pm. G Clubs do not have the same ease of access and quantity. That makes Soi 6 pretty much a monopoly.

2. Clientele: While there is healthy repeat clientele who will gawk at these prices, but eventually pay up (for the reason mentioned above), the real draw is new customers looking to discover Pattaya. For them, the new price is the best it has ever been. So they will pay up too.

You are probably right about the reaction of overall market to this fairly outrageous price hike and I expect that I will probably still visit Soi 6 with the same frequency as before. That is to say infrequently and only when I have nothing better to do before the Go Go's open. The reason: I was never very much enthralled with the quality on Soi 6 and thus I rarely took a girl upstairs. But this being LOS, I don't expect the quality to get any better since the prices have been raised. Too bad. I expect the Soi 6 faithfull are up in arms over this development. Maybe, if you are a well known customer the price hike won't apply to you. I don't know. Think I will check and see what is being posted on that other forum which we can't mention the name of here.

Don't forget the other big group emerging on Soi 6 which are owned by the Chinese. You may want to avoid those as well as they are charging gogo bar rates.

I'm curious to see how this plays out on Soi 6. imo if Mr. Flowers and the Nightwish Group has raised the prices the others will likely soon follow suit. Thailand is the land of monkey see monkey do.

Maybe 90% of the guys who go to Soi 6 do so because they are budget conscious and find good to excellent service for a good price. Just can't see how over 95% of the girls on Soi 6 are worth 1500 baht + 350-400 barfine. If lady drinks on Soi 6 are 180 baht I have no clue how any of these girls are going to make money. His original goal was revived a dying Soi 6, he has accomplished that goal. That goal comes with a price as you see now that goal to have a monopoly? You go into a place not owned by NW, the girls tells you prices similar to NW, the majority of the time it is hearsay. I look at her and around she isn't even NW quality but that is what they get so that is what she should get. It doesn't make sense right? I just got back from 2 days and 2 nights in Pattaya. My general impressions were little changed from my other recent visits. I still saw a Chinese tour group passing through Walking Street. But maybe not as many as before. Contrary to what has been posted here of late, I actually saw several more lookers on Soi 6 and, very surprisingly, on Beach Road than I have in the past.
