I thought the food at Jockey's was ok. It's on Soi Lengkee.

Quite a few good eating options all around Pattaya, Jockey's is good as well. In the same area there is Oz Burger and Robin's Nest which I like. There are a couple of other eating joints inside LK Metro (name I forget) which are equally good. I actually find the breakfast options (which are usually available all day) in Pattaya to be good change from the same old.

I stayed three nights in Pattaya around Nov 15th. Arrived on Sunday evening and was shocked to find number of FLs on beach road down by almost half of what I had seen in Feb earlier this year. Most were hopeless quality. Found no more than 4/5 do-ables but none 7/10. First catch of the day was a young girl fon. She was not over the top enthusiastic but not too bad overall. Some told me that some losers are offering 200-300 bahts for a quick shag.

On a side note, what restaurant are you visiting on Soi Len Kee? I am right up the street and would love to give it a try. In my experience, Pattaya does not have the tastiest food.

It was one of those crappy mildly frustrating Saturday nights in Pattaya last night. As luck would have it though, the entire length of Beach Road had been closed off for the whole weekend to all traffic and turned into Disney World with stalls from end to end selling street food, trinkets and other crap to families of tourists there for a fireworks festival or something. There was no room anywhere for hookers and I didn't see a single one on my long walk to the entrance of WS. Guess they all had to take the weekend off. It was hot last night and by the time I got to WS and Happy a-go-go after dodging the huge crowds of tourists. Now I can't wait for low season.

Yes, Beach street was a ZOO. At times walking was impossible. There was some good food stalls though. And the fireworks show was entertaining.

Unlike Daddy07, I didn't hit WS. Went into the Tahitian Queen on Beach Rd, near Soi 13. It's the oldest running bar in Pattaya, supposedly. It's also a GoGo. Walking in I wasn't impressed initially with the lineup. But after settling in noticed there were a few that were doable, 7-8 range, and important to me, with BUNDA! Singha beer was 130 baht, LD is 135 baht, Backroom action for an hour, (I think,) is 2500 baht. BF after midnight was 1000 baht. Had a decent time playing grab ass with 4 dancers, even flirted with the mama-san. I'll be back to this one.

Great minds think alike. Hit LE Carre Blanc last night. Going to it, had a little misadventure with a lady moto taxi driver. She spoke no english and was unfamiliar with the area. Saw some Pattaya neighborhoods away from the lime light. She eventually dropped me off near the area.

Anyone who had taken a baht bus north bound to a destination on 2nd Rd last night would have had to walk a long way if they wanted to go back south to WS as there was no transportation on Beach Road and all the side Soi's from WS to as far north as the Dolphin Circle were closed. It was a nightmare. It's happening in Pattaya now with ever greater frequency. The zombie tourist families are taking over.

It was hot last night and by the time I got to WS and Happy a-go-go after dodging the huge crowds of tourists I was sweating like a pig. As I sat cooling off with a drink while watching the nice line up of girls, suddenly at least 50 or more Chinese tourists started stampeding two and three abreast through the front door like a giant herd of wildebeests. There were whole families of them; all ages; mom's, pop's, white haired grandpa's and grandma's, cousins, uncles and aunts. It took a seeming eternity for the whole group of them just to enter the bar.

When finally seated all together of course, every last one of them ordered a draft beer; and 15 minutes later the entire migrating herd left the bar en mass for greener pastures the same way they entered each leaving their nearly full glass of beer behind. It was like a bad dream – a Beijing family reunion go-go bar crawl. Now the tourist families are taking over the bars. Soon there will be no room for punters, the girls will wear full body leotards, and the shows will be rated PG. All the raunch will be gone and families will rule.

Now I can't wait for low season.

Bought her a LD, and as a reward she lowered her tube top. I grabbed her ass, and it was nice that she was panty-less. Like AO mentioned, the festivities commence at the bar, in front of everyone. I am a slightly above average American punter in looks and spending capacity with a fair amount of experience who walks into popular Walking Street go go clubs with a good attitude and a sharp eye. I know the price structure before I walk through the door.

I think many of the guys complaining about their go go club experiences should re-read this sentence a few times. To use a currently-fashionable cliche, when it comes to the go go club business model: "It is what it is." While there is much variation in location, decor, music and ambiance, all go go clubs are the same when it comes to pricing. They are at the upper end of the price range. If you know that going in and make your peace with it you'll be off to a good start like Mr. Bumpo. If you sit down already spun up over how much everything costs the girls will spot your sourpuss a mile away and you'll be at a disadvantage from the start. It's a variation on the Robber Baron line about how if you have to ask how much something costs you can't afford it. You're on holiday, for crying out loud. Pry your wallet open with a crow bar. If the price is really truly a deal breaker, look for your sweeties elsewhere.

If punters spent a little time with a girl getting to know her, having some fun, and trying to create a little chemistry the percentage of quality bar fines will dramatically increase and certain bad signs or tells would emerge that will warn a discerning punter off the girl if he is paying any attention.

More good advice. Note the part about "having some fun." Visiting a go go club is usually a special treat. You've saved up for your holiday, planned it months in advance and kept up with the latest developments here. Once you finally sit down and let the Swedish House Mafia wash over you it's not going to kill you to let your hair down and have a good time. To use two more cliches, get out of your head and live in the moment. Ruminating over whatever emotional baggage keeps you awake back in Farang Land is only going to harsh your mellow. Be happy like Mr. Bumpo and the girls will respond in kind. As the Thais remind us, sanuk is good.

I find that all a couple shots do is loosen things up and creates a warm party vibe between me and the girls very conducive for having great sex later. If a couple of shots of Tequila has a negative effect on you then by all means cut that step out. You should still be able to get friendly with your girls, create a little chemistry while you are sizing her up, and looking for any tells before considering barfining her. Take your time, enjoy the hunt, and have a great time every step of the way are all still essential.

To quotes the ads for spirits: "Enjoy responsibly." For most people having a few drinks acts as a social lubricant and increases the sanuk factor. It also adds a few baht to the bottom line for your prospective bar fine, the server, the mamasan and the club. And again, it marks you as a guy who is out to have a good time. If your head's in a bad place you'll come off as uptight at best and self-loathing at worst. No girl relishes the prospect of alone time with a dude who looks like he's about to get a root canal.

If you follow Mr. Bumpo's sage advice you'll enjoy your time in go go clubs regardless of whether you decide to leave with a girl. If you do find somebody who strikes you fancy, adhering to The Bumpo Method means you'll leave with a spring in your step and a hottie on your arm who is anxious to make you happy. Which, my friends, is why we patronize go go clubs.

I find the Hi- bar (I guess this is the correct name), entering on the left, much better than the disco upstairs. Better for 2 reason, first you can start hunting earlier, around 10.00 / 11.00 pm, no need to be up until 4 , 5 am. Second, you can see and chat with the girls in a better way. Upstairs is a mess. Too noisy, too crazy and too dark. Or maybe I'm just too old for that.

I only really had one great nigh tat Crystals back in May. During my 2 visit in August it was super tame. Even when I hung out with the same girl that had been raunchy with me before. Maybe I was just lucky the first visit. Or maybe the policy has change there. Who knows?
